No surprise if this is true. He's been dead in the water as a character for years and it hasn't seemed like his heart has been in it for quite some time.

Makes sense, his time of even being on Vince's radar is over so hopefully he can go somewhere else and prosper.

Going to miss him, always liked him....wouldn't mind seeing him in The Temple.
His BNB Gimmick could've led to a huge heel run or a huge face run, Heel: Play Punk/Bryans music "I'm afraid..." Face: His catchphrase was getting him over so much.

Talented guy that seems to get hurt every time he was on the right path. Maybe his body was trying to tell him something?

Wade is another case of wasted talent. He took an awful gimmick with Bad News and got it over. That shows just how talented he is. He is a solid hand to have with potential to be a main event player.

I enjoyed BNB but I never expected much from him.
I don't blame him for leaving though.

Sucks to see him go, WWE had a lot of chances to get him over but his injuries always made him take a few steps backwards.

What's Bade Warrett doing in the Impact Zone?! These never get old. Wade Barrett was cool, but unfortunately it's his time. Not everybody can be world champion, and sucks for him because every time he got the Intercontinental title, he got injured.

Not surprised one bit. I hope the poor guy can find better elsewhere. His Bad News gimmick was great.

Another Englishman wasted. Oh, and I wish people would shut up about his injuries. The fact that Barrett never amounted to anything has nothing to do with him being injured... it has everything to do with them cutting him off at the legs every time he was getting somewhere, an inept creative team and the company's inability to manage and utilise talent properly.

He always was one of my favorites... I hope he finds better luck somewhere else, he's charismatic, has a great moveset so I don't see why he shouldn't be doing at least SOMETHING...

I I'm actually a fan of his. Too bad WWE didn't utilize him better.

Uhhh, the Bad News gimmick was the only one he got himself over with. It was also an ingenious gimmick for the time it was implemented, the start of the Authority and the hijackings. The gimmick started on the JBL & Cole Show, it was very well received, it translated well onto TV, he was the best promo active in the company, and then he got hurt. When he returned from injury, he was still over for a hot second, but after a month of his apparent lack of interest in the product and the charisma of Chris Benoit, the fans stop caring about him.

It was because he got injured in 2014 and when he came back, he had lost everything that had got him over the year before and seemed to have no interest in being part of the product. WWE utilized him fine, he just got hurt, and then he became boring again.
