Homer and Hesiod wrote legends. They wrote of gods who fly through the air, striking down fury upon all who dare cross them. This isn’t that different. Wrestling is like a Homer epic. Each one of us is writing that epic. I know it’s been a while. Let me fill you in with some backstory.
Odyssey Pt 1: A short intro
Let’s take you back and set this story straight. I’m a Chicago guy. Born and raised on the North Side. I’m not very big, but damn am I agile. I’m a genius, having graduated with degrees in Biology and Engineering. While I did graduate, I started working. That was all I did. Eventually, I got some friends and picked up freerunning. This is where my agility comes from. If I can dart down tracks, dodging people, what makes you think that I can’t dodge what people throw at me in the ring? I always had a problem with anger, so to curb my little outbursts, I was introduced to a wrestling academy. There, I started training from the ground up, learning every little hold and every single move, even inventing some that no one has seen yet. Like I said, I’m a genius. I’m a mastermind that is incredibly efficient at attacking and defending. I know every inch of the human body. I can press down on your left shoulder blade and cause you pain in your right abdomen. My trainer, Jimmy, was someone who knew how to transition my skill and knowledge to holds, so I’ve innovated as many holds as he has. I haven’t even shown a single of my worst ones yet.
Let’s get a little more personal now. I started dating a girl named Chelsea. We fell in love immediately. Her brothers couldn’t stand me for a while. It was kind of awkward when one of them was my trainer. Chelsea soon joined me at the academy, and she was better than I was. Not because she knew more than me, but because she had incredible body control. God, she was beautiful. Over time, I met her other brother, Mike “Doc” Admonsiva. There’s a long story behind why his name is different. Short version, parents are weird. After an accident, Chelsea was put into a coma, her life up for grabs. Spoiler alert: She woke up. She made an incredible recovery, even managing to get back into the ring.
Meanwhile, I came to the WFWF. I quickly became a name that people knew. Sure, I wasn’t top billing, but I was one hell of a Mid-Card. I had moderate success to start. Won the National Championship. Woo. Made it to the World Title picture, even. To be perfectly honestly, I don’t even really remember it all that well. I’ll get to all of that later.
I have three friends that you need to know about right now. Matt, Jimmy, and Doc. Jimmy is my wrestling trainer. He helps me develop and promotes me. He’s a little different now, but that’s also coming later. Doc is my personal doctor. He’s an expert on the brain, but he’s well-versed in many things, so he ends up also being my psychiatrist. Then we have Matt. Matt has been my friend since the 3rd grade. We go way back. He joined the wrestling business with me and was my partner since we started. He’s also my roommate and confidant.
My life has changed a lot since I left the WFWF. I got married. I became a father. I was living a happy life outside of the world of wrestling. Matt stayed in the business, as did one of my pupils. However, one day everything changed. And you know all that it took?
A drunk driver.
A drunk driver took my wife from me. He took my son from me. It wasn’t you, Dave, but it might as well be. You’re just the same as him, no matter how much you want forgiveness. And guess what? He’s dead, and I can’t make him pay. So, I guess you are the next best option. I can’t make that man feel the pain that I have from my loss, so I will do my very best to make sure that you feel every single ounce of that pain, so you completely understand everything that you have done. You make this grand proclamation that I’m not good enough to carry Mak’s bags, yet you stand here not even worthy of living.
As for you Lucas, this isn’t nearly as personal. That said, you have something that I once called mine. You have the thing that I revived. You should be thanking me, because I’m the only reason that anyone still remembers that title existed! I made the only thing that makes you. So, by proxy, I made you.
No Remorse…I will have no remorse for what I do there. Like the great boxer once said…

OOC: I know it's short, but I felt like reintroducing the full Cam character, and writer's blocked really hard on it.
