Heard that as well. If it was a case of him doing it and it still being entertaining or like a comedy match, then that's fine, I guess. If it's just crap, then that's just a slap in the face to everything and everyone that has given to the business.

Didn't Triple H say something like Owen would say at a house show that he was going to go out there and deliberately have the worst match? I love Owen, but isn't that kinda disrespectful to the fans who pay to see a good show? Maybe not I dunno lol He has been known to do things like that, namely with Mankind, to get a pop out of the other wrestlers and because he knew Dave Meltzer was watching. This, I believe, is what led to the "hardcore" match with Foley and Owen using giant bags of popcorn and foam soda cups on each other, and selling them like chair shots. So he might not LITERALLY have had the WORST match, but I think he probably had one that made the least amount of sense. |

Owen was good for stuff like that too -though,granted,his were mostly at house shows. He'd get pinned,then immediately get up and run to the back. Lots of stories of guys putting him in submission holds, and he'd pretend to be smoking an imaginary cigarette ,yawn,or crack his knuckles while in the hold. Sometimes he'd just sit/lay there with a completely blank expression on his face! But he did this to rib the boys, not a malicious act to make someone intentionally look bad. Didn't Triple H say something like Owen would say at a house show that he was going to go out there and deliberately have the worst match? I love Owen, but isn't that kinda disrespectful to the fans who pay to see a good show? I think Luger mentioned that in Owen's DVD. I know I recently watched an interview with Lex where he mentioned it. Pretty sure it was Owen's DVD. I think it was about press slams. Lex would come in to slam Owen and Owen would make Lex do all the work so he would look like he was struggling to lift him. Then Bulldog would come in for the same move and Owen would help so Davey Boy would lift him with ease.

Maybe not I dunno lol I was at a Mick Foley comedy show and he told a funny Owen story where at a house show in 1997 Owen was deliberately sloppy and botched everyone of his moves. |
