Actually looking forward to the rest of this storyline playing out, especially from the standpoint of what skin does Undertaker have in this game? Why would he fight on behalf of the Authority?

This is why I love WWE. I've been a fan since 1999, and we can all agree it's changed a lot. I regularly read all the comments here and generally agree that change is needed. But every now and again something like this will happen, something so out of the blue and interesting that I feel I just have to keep watching. This is why I continue to keep watching WWE and will do for a long time.
Shane's pop was amazing as well, one of the best we've seen for a while and that always makes it special.
I'm with everyone else though, it is a bit random. Why would Shane in a face role be facing Taker who has been face for years now? And why would taker suddenly be aligned with Vince?
I can't see the Undertaker losing to Shane, so I feel we will get a swerve where Shane says he can't wrestle as he isn't under contract as a competitor. Enter Cena to take his place. If Cena hasn't been able to piece himself back together by then, then swap him out for Balor or Sting. But again, this would still leave Undertaker representing Vince which is confusing...
The next few weeks will be interesting!

its gonna turn into handicap match; taker vs shane AND the mean street posse, which makes it 4 on 1, then to even things out, out comes patterson & briscoe as takers back up ....epic mania moment lol

This is gonna be awful, bret hart v McMahon awful.. I don't understand why they don't just give Goldberg a boat load of money to come back. Shane is a better worker than Goldberg...... I made that opinion before I even watched raw, but after watching raw I thought shane was really good and hopefully it will be a good match.

I real think people are over thinking this Shane .Vs Taker match way to much.I pretty positive it real will be Shane and Taker at Mania, why would they announce the match and the stipulation of Hell in the Cell just to change it and throw someone like Cena,Sting or whomever else in the match to wrestle for Shane ? its real going to be these two going at it and will be like many "Face .Vs Face" match ups we've gotten in the last handful of years like HBK/Taker,Taker/HHH,Rock/Cena...ect and can easily work.
I am willing to bet that Shane does indeed beat Undertaker in the Cell but its do to someone turning heel and interfering in the match i.e. John Cena or Roman Reigns. But also in the process keeps Shane a face, you do the run in and Shane wins and we go down the road of a possible brand split and build for month or even to next years Wrestlemania for a finale blow of match for full control of the company between Shane and Triple H while Taker looks for revenge and face whomever cost him his match at this years Mania again possibly a heel John Cena.

Shane's older than Triple H? I honestly did not know that Nah, HHH has a few months over Shane. I just remembered that there is literally no news about Mania next year. I heard there was a bid for Orlando, but I would rather it be somewhere else and not a state that would host a third Wrestlemania within ten years. The new stadium in Minnesota or Lucas Oil in Indiana would be cool.

I really don't care how it turns out, I'm just pumped that Vince is pulling out anything he can to generate some buzz around Wrestlemania For the record I love the younger guys like Roman, Seth, New Day, Owens, Bray, Dean, Kalisto, etc. BUT they do NOT generate the star power and interest for these humongous stadiums. I understand them bringing in Rock, Taker, Sting, Triple H, Shane, and anything else that will get people talking Maybe this will lead to Shane bringing in Kurt Angle, Sting, or someone to face Undertaker. Even if not, Shane knows how to put on a show, so I'd be excited for that even The only real star power the WWE has as real active wrestlers is Cena and Brock so I say do what you have to for this Wrestlemania spectacle, then fall back and keep (or start) building these younger guys throughout the year Way more excited about Mania after last night than I was before RAW While you're right, that sure as hell isn't their fault. WWE hasn't set them up to succeed. And part of the problem of why they haven't set them up to succeed is an over-reliance on ONLY putting older wrestlers in positions to be highlighted. Shane's ideas are probably anti-Reigns. Vince wouldn't like that. Roman Reigns wasn't even a glimmer in Vince McMahon's eye when Shane left the company before... Shane's older than Triple H? The new stadium in Minnesota or Lucas Oil in Indiana would be cool. The Vikings' stadium guru leaked out that Wrestlemania was coming to Minny so WWE backed out cause they wanted to be the ones to announce it.

People acting like this is the worst main event in Mania history.
People are ridiculous.

I would like to see Shane wrestle, but I could also fully envision a scenario where they know Cena is healthy enough to go and run a story line where Vince orchestrates an attack on Shane in order to hurt him too much to show up and Cena ends up fighting on his behalf instead. It would be a bit of a bait and switch, but it wouldn't be the first time. Undertaker (a.k.a. King of Nut Shots) has already been on the heel side of things during his encounters with Lesnar, so fighting for Vince wouldn't be that much of a stretch. His logic would probably be just doing what the boss says.

It'll be tough to be worse than Sid/Undertaker, Sid/Hogan, etc. I do, however, think that Reigns/Brock had the worst build of a Mania main event though. The match way over delivered.

I can see Cena interference giving Shane the victory. Not a heel turn, but doing it for what's in the best interest of the company. Taker is nonetheless pissed off by this and him and Cena decide to settle it at WM 33.
