Rarely post on WF anymore, but I thought I'd share this. October 2015 I was 253lbs - Saturday morning I weighed in at 153lbs. Wow! Congrats! That is such a huge accomplishment, you should be so proud.

been going back at it for the last 3 weeks to go now that I’ve come out of Canadian winter hibernation.
focussing on my calorie counting far more than before, trying to get 3200 calories a day of clean food. it has been a ridiculously difficult task but my body is finally adjusting to it. gaining both fat and muscle currently, i’ll be upping my cardio soon to take the fat out the equation.

Never been one for weights, but I've been implementing the sled push and leg extensions the last few months and it's been beneficial to my half marathon running.

I've been from 250lbs to 160lbs and back. I got way too into it and went overboard at one point with hardly eating and working out a ton. I'm a respectable 190-195lbs now. Slowly getting back into the running groove. It's a real ego-slammer when I can't smoke people like I used to lol.

I been working out since January 2017, but I just changed my training style. I am now trying to cut and gain definition. How in gods name will I be able to consume 185 grams of protein?

Grilled chicken, Fish, steaks and bars/shakes. The Premier Protein Shakes have 30 grams of protein. I also take a supplement called Liquid Protein which contains 42 grams of protein. Most bars also have between 15-30. 185 seems like a lot, but it's really not if you find the right foods/supplements. I hit 185 every day easily and never feel like I'm forcing it, over eating, or stuffed.

So, 185 would be my magic amount according to that theory.

So, 185 would be my magic amount according to that theory. There's a ton of bars out there and it really boils down to your personal taste. Everyone's taste is kinda different, especially with the texture of some of the bars. I've read reviews for some of the bars I love and read that people think they taste like garbage, so I'll tell you what I personally eat, but you're gonna have to really test them out and look at the numbers and find a mix of what works for you. My afternoon snack bar is just your basic Nature Valley protein bar. I eat this bar with my Premier protein Shake: For breakfast with my coffee, banana and vitamins (probiotic, Multivitamin, Biotin, and Vitamin C), I'll have one of the following: And all of the PowerCrunch bars are good. The only one I don't buy is red velvet and that's just because I don't like that flavor in anything. If I want a cookie, I have one of these: If I want chips, I have these: Again, this is just what I like and what works for me.

Trying to get back on the work out wagon. Excercised once last week and honestly is the first real “work out” I’ve had since 2016. I’m disappointed in myself and I let myself go from 225 in late 2016 to now back up to 260.
I’ve decided I’m pretty much the ultimate excuse maker when it comes to excercise and eating right

I just have to focus on not snacking all the time and slowly build my cardio up. My cardio is ALL I care about at the moment.

I don't feel like I'm gassed or out of breath or anything, it's just that anytime I run I just get this burning in my legs and I usually just feel like I want to take a sh*t immediately whenever I run, lol. To get my cardio in I've been using a spinning bike. It works out better for me.

So I've been trying to take advantage.

Well so much for my freshman 15 haha. Before I started university I weighed in at around 200lbs, my heaviest ever is around 208lbs during the middle of last summer. Since going there I've been doing a lot of cardio and eating cleaner now that I'm fully in control of my own grocery shopping for the first time in my life. I weighed myself for the first time in ages and I've dropped down to 180lbs. It's not a massive difference considering it was over an 8 month period but it's an ideal weight for me and I'm quite proud of myself for achieving that. Now I'm focussing on using weights to build up some muscle.
