I was thinking if AJ Lee was still in the WWE what would've happened with AJ Styles?
I honestly don't think they could have 2 wrestlers called AJ so they would've had to changed one of their names. AJ Styles is world famous and his name is one of the most recognisable so I honestly don't know if they would've changed his so maybe they would've renamed AJ Lee April Lee or something like that.
What do you guys think? |

He would have still been called AJ Styles.
She would have still been called AJ Lee.
There are two people in the company called John right now, and in the early 2000s, Chris Jericho, Christian and Chris Benoit were all on the same roster at the same time. I don't see the big deal with having two people with the same name.

I don't see the big deal with having two people with the same name. As well as Chris Nowiniski and later Chris Masters. Plus, ROH has a bunch of people named Jay, so why not? |

A name change wouldn't be necessary. I'll let wrestling history dictate as to why that would be.
Maybe they would have renamed AJ Lee to CM Lee. Yeah, I am only joking.

Take Kane for example. If another guy debut with Kane as his first name it would be weird because we already have a Kane.

Yes, it would be weird if someone else called Kane or The Rock debuted because they would have the same name as the real Kane or The Rock. AJ Lee and AJ Styles are different matters because they just share a first name. Their names aren't exactly the same. |

They probably would have let him keep it and they'd do "hilarious" skits or jokes about it.

On the other hand they changed Steven Regal's name because of Austin and Blackman, and they changed Lace Cade to Garrison Cade because of Lance Storm. |

John Cena and John Morrison were on the roster at the same time, Michael Cole calls JBL, John on the announce desk, doesn't really make a difference.
