I rarely spend $10 unless I need it for head swap. Hot toys upgrade on elites? Put me down for pre-order!

I'd support a slap across your mouth for suggesting a price increase.

9.99 is already too much for a basic figure, but to pay 3 dollars extra for something like an urn or a plastic briefcase would be pretty ridiculous. I'm surprised mattel hasn't made any accessory packs like JAKKS used to do,

Hell No! I wouldn't support a price increase as it is I'm buying less figures recently and saving a lot of money.

Lol, damn, you guys are so cheap. I love it. My kind of collectors. The average Basic is $10. He's suggesting up to $14, which is a 40% price increase. Take something you pay for, weather its your rent, credit card bill, etc. and just increase it by 40% and see how happy you get. It seems like not much because $4 in the scheme of things is a small monetary value, but its the principal. It's not being cheap, its being grounded in reality and happy with a product.

As a wee nipper, Woolworths in the UK regularly had 3 for 2 sales on Jakks figures So for £13.98, I'd get three figures, each one with an accessory
Now I know this is 15 years later, the product is better and the times are different, and I'm okay with paying £10 for a basic, but if they start pushing it further then I'd have to cut down my spending

Depends. You give me Basic Hacksaw withe 2x4 or Basic Sheik with his keffiyeh, then yeah, I'll pay a few more dollars. If you're going to give me a microphone or a chair every time out though then no thanks. It really would have to be specific. I love the TNF figure accessories. If that continues in that fashion then I'll buy more of those.

Wal-Mart is having a sale on battle pack because that are clogging selves. Accessories do not drive sales. Those Create-a-Figure accessories packs are on the right track. If Mattel can support that line with accessories only packs, they have no excuses with giving their solid line the same treatment.

No. I dont see the appeal in basics. I never buy them. Seems like kind of a waste to me since you cant really pose them or do what you can with elites.

Take the statement at face value. Are basics on average $10? Yes. Did he propose up to $14 for basics? Yes. Would $10 to $14 be a 40% increase? Yes. Is $4 or a 40% increase worth it for an accessory? Not for 99% of the accessories we get in Battle Packs. If you took something you do or pay for and increased it by 40% and got a very minimal return for that 40% would you feel cheated? Yes.

It's ridiculous to say a 40% of $4 is equally as outrageous as a 40% increase to $40, $400, $4000 and so on. It's $4 damn dollars. It would suck, I'm against it, but it's less than a cheeseburger at some places. My point was this: We're cheap, that's fine, own that, own being a cheapo, and that's all. If someone wants to get offended at that, then they must not have as much in life to worry about and I envy them. So blah blah blah. I'm gonna go buy a $4 cheeseburger.

Outside of BAF figures, theres not any accessories i care about all that much to justify paying more than 10 bucks for. Any accessories that would matter enough to have a bearing on me dropping money on,would be included in Elite figures, ie championship belts, Francesca, stuff like that.

Sir, you're stating points that I said in my original post, in that $4 is not much. It seems like not much because $4 in the scheme of things is a small monetary value, but its the principal. It's not being cheap, its being grounded in reality and happy with a product. And its also not ridiculous to say 40% of $10 for an increase is outrageous. And its also not ridiculous to relate it to something else to show how high it really is. You're harping on the wrong points of my rebuttals. Enjoy your $4 hamburger sandwich.
