Title says it all!
Very hard fought fight. Meisha sunk in a Rear Naked Choke and put Holly to sleep in the 5th.
I'd say Holm won the first round
Meisha won the 2nd with dominant ground game. 10-8
The 3rd was pretty good. Both girls decided to feel eachother out for a bit. Holly landed more strikes. Round went to Holly.
Holly definitely won the 4th stuffing 2 take downs and landing multiple combos.
The 5th started off great for Holm but Meisha finally was able to land a Takedown again. She sunk in the Rear Naked Choke, Holm tried to flip her over her back and Meisha hung on tight. Holm went to sleep.
She was very tough though. She never tapped.
Congratulations to the NEW Woman's UFC Bantamweight Champion, Meisha Tate!

Yep, great fight... congrats to Meisha - was being out-worked and on her way to a defeat, but once she saw an opportunity for that RNC in the final round, she wasn't letting go! I wonder what they'll do now RE. Meisha/Holm/Ronda?

I'm surprise Holm lost her first title defense and her undefeated streak, damn. First Ronda and now Holm.

It's all good. I still love Holm and never had anything against Meisha. It's gonna shake up the womans division for sure. I think Rhonda is going to come out of the shadows now and step up and try to win back the belt. You guys think she deserves the shot or should she have a rematch with Holm before that happens?

I loved the 'finish' of the match if we're going full wrestling here. Felt like the MMA version of Austin passing out to Bret at WM13. Loved it. Good event overall I think.

I don't know... I'd kind of like a mini-tournament with Ronda Vs Holm (...both coming off losses - but still a HUGE fight) and Meisha Vs Amanda Nunes - they could even be on the same card. Then (providing Meisha won) it would set up either Meisha Vs Holm 2 or Meisha Vs Ronda 3... That way we would get the Ronda/Holm rematch - and also a great mega title-fight afterwards too.  |

It was a good fight. I like Tate but I don't think she can beat Rousey.
