Man, Sid was the worst. I've been bouncing around different shows, trying to get the feel of an arena m I'm headed to in a couple of weeks, and one of the shows led off with him cutting a promo in ring as champion. Talk about a charismatic black hole.

Yes, but will it be better than the debut of the Shockmaster? Will Big shock the world?

Talk about a charismatic black hole. On the flip side, Sid is the best. I would say that Sid obviously is my biggest inspiration for this idea but as I have purposely poisoned myself with the worst of wrestling, I feel like I can provide a loving homage to everything that embarrassed you to be a wrestling fan.

I would say that Sid obviously is my biggest inspiration for this idea but as I have purposely poisoned myself with the worst of wrestling, I feel like I can provide a loving homage to everything that embarrassed you to be a wrestling fan. Y'know, for all the horrible things that have been floated out in my time, having been an on again, off again fan for over 25 years, I've never been embarrassed to be a fan. Even as I got older, I've found it relatively easy to deflect whatever sideways looks you might get from the normals who may find out you're a fan. I view the different things that I enjoy in life as a set of pillars that I can build a more fulfilling experience out of. Take football, for example. My oldest friend and I have grown a bit apart over the years, which tends to happen when you get old, get married, and have kids, but through football, we find an excuse and a reason to get together in a mutually enjoyable setting, and because of that we're able to maintain at least a modicum of staying in touch without going years without the benefit of one another's company. Same for wrestling - when I finally landed my degree, I locked down a job in my line of work right away and left Sears far behind, never to look back. However, I had a co-worker there whose company I really enjoyed, amid a sea of otherwise incompetent d-bags, and vice-versa. We don't share too many common interests, but by getting together one every other month to watch the PPVs at a pub or going to the odd show, we're able to stay in touch beyond a text message, which I think is pretty f'n cool. Amid all that, though? Sid is just awful.

Amid all that, though? Sid is just awful. That's pretty cool, man. I'm lucky in some of those respects too. My wife and me love wrestling and she has the same tolerance to sit through stuff like 1999 Thunders or November to Dismember just to laugh. It's took me awhile to get over that wrestling and its fans are unfairly stereotyped. It wasn't until I starting learning about alternative products out there that I was able to see just how diverse the fan base is. My best failed share though was this: "I'm not watching wrestling, that stuff is really gay." At 15 years old, everything is "gay"... "Just watch Smackdown with me tonight..." "Fine" First thing that comes onto the screen is Rikishi hitching up his thong to rub his butt cheeks in Xpacs face. "Uhhhhhh..."

So, i made my character. .. Now what? Lol A signup thread for the next show will likely go up either shortly before or shortly after the results for Exodus are posted. If you want to participate, you'll sign up there. Once the card goes up, you'll have a deadline by which to get in your RP the show. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Thoroughly enjoyed the results thread, nicely done folks! Now I must debate whether to keep the violin version of 'Subconscious' as Makoto's theme or to go with a more rock-ish version.
Also a nod to Big McLargehuge real quick - you promised underwhelming and you delivered.
