Anyone watching the G1 this year? I can confirm that night 1 was off its tits! I'm going to try to keep up for as long as possible. Usually I fall behind and end up stop watching until eventually catching the finals. I'm having a hard time determining what I liked more between Ishii/Goto and Ibushi/Naito, both were amazing. Good start to the tourney. Ishii/Goto was pretty nuts but I think Naito/Ibushi was better. Loved Tanahashi/Sabre Jnr as well. As far as a winner? Naito, surely? I'd love Kenny to win again and finally beat Okada at Wrestlekingdom but now that Ibushi is back in the fold (not dressed as a cartoon tiger) I have a feeling they might go with Omega/Ibushi, which will be f*cking amazing. |

Tanahashi/ZSJ was really good. And I'm not really a fan of Yoshi-Hashi or Bad Luck Fale but I enjoyed their matches too. Just an overall great way to start the tourney. Yeah as far as winners go I'm not quite as bold in my predictions. I'm thinking Naito or as a long shot, Ibushi. It would be great if Omega could win the title off Okada before WK and have Ibushi/Omega as the main event of WK for the IWGP Title... but that's my fantasy booking getting a touch out of hand now. But on that stage, one or both men would surely die in the ring. |
