Does anyone else feel a little overwhelmed by the number of figures we are getting these days? There are new series hitting all the time and I have no time to collect the ones I want from the previous one. Besides the normal waves, we have TNF, HOF, RSC, DM, WM, Elite 2 packs, and now Summer Slam. I am really excited for the products but by the time we see one wave, the next one comes out. It's just way too much. I'm running out of space and I have 5 bookcases, all full.

Maybe cut down? I mean, if it's taking up that much space and money for you maybe just focus on individual characters you REALLY love. Not judging, just a thought. I'm good since I don't collect 95% modern dudes and even Flashbacks I'm picky on.

Pretty sure Chinese new year just ended which would explain the flood of new figures. Happens every year

its just there so many lines now, thats why. and the fact retailers cant even catch up . so by the time you get something 2 new series have already hit somewhere else. its been like that 4ever , but its twice as bad since there are so many lines.

I want to say that's not a bad thing. As collectors we are usually impatient but I can't deny my wallet is taking critical damages. I'm going to eat ramen noodles for weeks.

Apologizing in advance for my talk to text feature, keyboard not working
It's the 90day after Xmas mark almost every year this happens, stores get flooded, series get skipped at some retailers and it happens. Basically inventory levels on there main warehouses of brick and mortars stores have minimal so they order make quickly from manufacturers so generally speaking if a set was to arrive on Dec 22, the next time they order they have no stock so they are ordering the next 3 sets at the same time hence how we are seeing E40 and E41 hit around the same time and then the 3 newer released sets of basics. This does however benefit all of us as typically stores run amazing sales towards the end of March to move product No the retailers do not learn this happens every year Unless your Walmart whom will keep the older stuff in the warehouse and put the newer items on the shelves to try to increase sales and sell the older items on line and when they can't they ship it to the stores, you may have randomly seen elite 37 or 38 at Walmart and it's a newer case, this is why

Sure, there's a lot of stuff hitting all at the same time, but it's all about prioritizing and moderation. Unless you're loaded, you can't have everything. Pick and choose the stuff you really want.

It has been a little overwhelming especially on my wallet! But I must say I haven't really had any issues finding anyone so at least Mattel's circulation seems to be on point.

Yeah it is a bit much. I only collect flashbacks/legends and feel like I just keep spending. Too many lines and too much at once. I wish they would space things apart a bit more or stock more store exclusives.

I think it's perfect where it's at.

Im an international buyer and its been ridiculous lately with releases.
RSC Exc: Nation of Domination
RSC Exc: Kevin Nash
Elite 41 (Flashbacks and Fin Balor)
Wrestlemania 32 Brock and Taker
Approximate cost: £212 or $300! (dont forget the insane shipping prices that RSC charge for international buyers and then customs on top of that!)
I havent bought any of the above yet because of the costs. I could afford it but I refuse to pay that sum for figures. Insane.
Oh and I almost forgot! Add in DM Austin! Its actually disgraceful when you think about it.

Nope, this collecting game isnt for boys!! If you cant hang with the big dogs then stick to trading DBZ & Magic the Gathering cards!

Man, I remember back in 2010 that everyone was complaining on how terrible Mattel's distribution was and how hard it was to find figures...now there's too many figures?

I'm fine with it but ya I don't see myself buying maybe a 30th Undertaker or HBK or Warrior figure etc. I do see myself scaling back at some point and maybe just buying new to the line guys and ones with few repeats

Yeah it can seem a bit full on. But only buy what u really like. I used to be a completist. Now I get what I really like, granted the elites line is most everything, but I will pass on them if I don't like them. And I'm pretty much done with basics.

I might think it was to fast if I was a completist (SP?), but seeing I only buy 1-2 figures out of a set. Have no problem with it.

Buy less figures. Pure and simple, just be picky.

Nothing wrong with collecting them all if you can afford it, and if you have the space for it. I can't and I don't. Fortunately I only want maybe 10% of what Mattel puts out there. Each collector has to make his (or her) own decisions on what they want their collection to look like.
There is nothing wrong with buying them all, but there is nothing wrong with buying only what makes YOU feel happy. Don't let people tell you "you aren't a true fan of wrestling" or whatever like people said on here a few years ago. Collecting is a deeply personal hobby.
