Mauro and heel Lawler are fantastic. Saxton and Cole however are beyond terrible and I don't mind JBL.

I have to agree, but Saxton is tolerable and doesn't upset me like JBL. |

This is one of my main problems with WWE. I miss the days when commentators would add just as much to the action as the wrestlers themselves. Michael Cole is damn near abhorrent. JBL has his moments but is just cheesy as hell most of the time. And Byron Saxton is just about as wooden as the chair I'm sitting in. I can't speak for NXT or Smackdown, as I never watch either of those.
Honestly, the last commentary team that I enjoyed was Striker/J.R. at NJPW Wrestlekingdom 9. And yes I know that's not WWE, but I honestly can't remember the last time WWE had a decent commentary team.

I miss JR on commentary. He was so good and really told the story and got things over. If it was an important event and it meant something he was def. going to let you know. The guys they have now don't show any real emotion.

Outside of Mauro Ranallo they are all horrible. Heel Jerry Lawler is good but i've heard better from him.

Mauro and graves are awesome. Actually the NXT team isn't to bad in general. Needs to be cut back down to a two man announce team though.

The ROH announce team of Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino/Mr. Wrestling 3 is probably the best commentary team out there right now in professional wrestling.
No other wrestling promotion seems to quite get it for what makes a great commentating team. First of all, having 3 people at the commentary table at all times is just horrible. I would be okay with Michael Cole and Byron Saxton together. They did awesome on the Beast from the East show. JBL can get released and go back to climbing mountains and yelling at the top of them, "Look at me, Maggle!! I did it!!"
Mauro Ranallo yells too much. I think he is a very overrated commentator. And as for Jerry Lawler, he just seems out dated for WWE now. The guy was doing commentary during the New Generation era of WWE. That is over 20 some odd years ago now.

I'd be hammered fairly quickly.
Seriously though, I watch on mute where possible...I can't stand the commentary from everyone so I doing something about it with my remote suits me fine.

Honestly I don't mind them. Well, the guy that was on the last SD I watched (before it went to Tuesdays) I couldn't stomach. While they aren't Monsoon, Ventura, Heenan or JR I have no issues with Cole, JBL, King, Saxton. And quite frankly they are the least of the WWE's problems.

Ranallo is great. Graves is really good too. I also like Phillips.
Heel Lawler is so awful. Possibly even worse than JBL. Which is so sad because Lawler was one of the greatest heel announcers ever. It's too bad that he just insists on stumbling through his old, stale material.
