Really depends on my mood, to be honest. Nobody has ever let me cut in front of them when I'm only paying for one thing, but I could see myself doing it for somebody else once in a while.

An elderly lady offered to let me cut in front of her today at food lion. She only had a few items herself. Of course, I declined, but i feel like that's a great example of differences in generations.

I work retail and a lot of people let others go first. They tend to be nice to other customers, but horrible to us employees!

Depends. If they're an @$$ then no I don't. Normally if I see someone while shopping who was rude to the employees or other customers I won't let them go first. But if it is a mom who is struggling with their children or a senior citizen or just someone who is pleasant I will let them go first.
