White Whale=caught!! Recently, I had posted a pic of a Sting figure that I had been trying to track down for literally two years; that, for all intents & purposes, was my "white whale" figure-wise. Well, as an update...I got him!! With the help of fellow board member The Leith Gaijin (who was MORE than gracious) I was able to negotiate a deal with the buyer, and the figure will be here tomorrow. Thanks again, Dale (Leith), for hearing me out, answering my (many) pm's, and going absolutely above-and-beyond to make this happen  |

What Mattel Sting figure was out 2 years ago? Unless you were the person who had asked about a custom Crow Sting a week or so ago. I will admit the body for that customs was pretty amazing, but I didn't like the head.

Cool. I personally prefer this one. No offense, but Ive seen some good customs and that one doesnt look too great. quit being a dick. He's obviously excited about a figure that took him a long time to track down. Good on you for finding the figure you've been chasing down. Not much else that's quite as fun. |

I just find it strange anyone would want another 97 Sting when the DM is near perfect. The single-line-eyes crow is my biggest Sting want to be honest. That first look he had when he stopped talking was so sick and iconic to me |

I assume it's less to do with the fact that it looks perfect, and more to do with the fact that he quested for the figure for so long. Collecting isn't limited to what's released, what's the best version, or what's the most recently updated. It's about collecting what you want to collect.
