Best reaction to this. I don't get why people want old PPV names back. I'd like gimmick PPV's gone but bringing back old event names isn't going to change a thing. They could decide Armageddon, where every match is a ladder match! Judgement Day, the main event is a street fight! No Mercy means four Hell In A Cell matches! It doesn't matter if it's an old name or a new name just as long as it's better than some of the crap they use now. |

Armageddon seems so much better than Fastlane, Hell in a Cell etc. I hate that they discontinued some of their PPV names. One step forward for WWE.

January - Royal Rumble
February - Fastlane
March - WrestleMania
April - Backlash
May - Judgment Day
June - Battleground
July - King of the Ring
August - SummerSlam
September - Unforgiven
October - Halloween Havoc
November - Survivor Series
December - Armageddon
Thats how I would have the PPV's, if there is a brand split I would replacement Battleground with Bragging Rights. I would get rid of the MITB PPV so we can just have a MITB match at Mania again, makes it more exciting knowing someone won it in a match at Mania and could cash in two hours later or the night after Mania.
Winner of King of the Ring tournaments get a title shot at Summerslam.

Armageddon is still under the "Retired PPV" Names, too. I'm guessing it just continued the list of PPVs because there was an odd number.

It definitely just seems like a mistake as Summerslam isn't on the list but it would be nice, I've always loved the Armageddon theme, it's fitting for the last PPV of the year and it had a really cool theme song.

Backlash was such a good name for the post Wrestlemania PPV. It made so much sense. It wouldn't even be so bad if they switched extreme rules and payback over. Payback I would say is as suitable of a name for a post mania PPV |

I wouldn't mind it coming back although stuff like Unforgiven, No Mercy, and Backlash would be better imo.

Always hated when Vengeance took over from Armaggrddon. Then suddenly reappeared the year later. Love Armaggeddon. Great.
