Who cares about PPV names? It's not like it adds anything to the PPV No it totally does How? Armageddon, Doomsday, Apocalypse, all similar names, wouldn't add anything at all to the ppv.

Unless it's something like KOTR, wherein a gimmick I actually care about ties into the PPV, the name doesn't matter to me. I'd love for them to do Halloween Havoc again one year, but that's because I loved the theme and logo, because I love Halloween.
I mean if we're going to get a 6-man HIAC match because of the Armageddon name returning, awesome. But I don't think that's going to happen. Almost all of the PPVs, regardless of the name, feel and look the same now imo. I'd love to see them do an In Your House PPV again, but I literally want them to bring back the house entrance. So stuff that isn't going to happen.

While it's just a name, It's a name that sounds much better than Fastlane, or Hell in a Cell.

Always hated when Vengeance took over from Armaggrddon. Then suddenly reappeared the year later. Love Armaggeddon. Great. I think they replaced it with Vengeance in 2001 due to the September 11 attacks.

No gimmicks ppvs only gimmick matches, mix old wwf and wcw names
January - Royal Rumble February - No Way Out March/April - Wrestlemania Late April - Backlash May - Badd Blood June - Bash at the Beach July - Great American Bash August - Summerslam September - No Mercy October - Halloween Havoc* November - Survivor Series December - Armageddon
*I've read that they've wanted to use HH but haven't been able to because of trademark issues.

People just convince themselves that resurrecting things from the past is the answer to everything. The only reason I could see for wanting other PPV names is getting rid of the "themed" ones. Realistically, We don't need a show called Hell in a Cell where there is always a Cell match. Especially now that the Network is a thing and you're not trying to pop a buy rate.

I always thought it would be kind of interesting if one of the pay-per-view events focused on a secondary title as the main event, such as Great American Bash focusing on the US Title. That concept would force the writers to pay attention to a lesser title rather than forcing a storyline around a gimmick match. And the ppv could also focus on work rate rather whatever the heck the writers focus on now. It could also be a test to see how the mid-card fares when getting the spotlight. I know the WWE would likely never do something like this, but I would love to see if given a chance.

I'm all for it if they bring back Armageddon in a Cell.

Confused, it's on the Retired PPV's list? I know it's just a name, but it's a good name at that, it insinuates that carnage will go down and it'll it's the end of all things and rivalries.
