todd frazier to the mets 2 years/17 million quite frankly im disappointed, the yankees should have/could have matched that offer EASILY and had a solid guy at 3b for the next couple years. If Andujar is what we think he is, it's smart for the Yankees to pass on Todd. As much as he was a good guy, a fun and charismatic presence, and a hometown guy.....he's 32 and his numbers have been TANKING. Miguel Andujar is #3 of all 3B prospects. It would be a shame for Frazier or ANYONE to block Andujar or God forbid you trade him and he goes elsewhere and becomes a Superstar. If Andujar is as advertised, we don't even need Machado next year. Can you imagine the young IF if all stay healthy and produce? 1B: Greg Bird 2B: Gleyber Torres 3B: Miguel Andujar SS: Didi Gregorius C: Gary Sanchez Add that to Judge and Stanton, with the very productive Brett Gardner....Aaron Hicks just needs to be the 1st half player and not the guy that came back after the oblique pull, and this team is friggin' stacked. We also have a bullpen of: Adam Warren Chad Green Tommy Kahnle Dellin Betances David Robertson Aroldis Chapman And at some point this season, Domingo Acevedo is going to come up and he throws 103mph. Starters just need to eat innings and limit the damage and they'll get PLENTY of run support, and the bullpen shortens the game dramatically. And the rotation was the 4th best in MLB last year. Severino Tanaka Gray Montgomery Sabathia Plus, Chance Adams and Justus Sheffield will probably be up eventually; one of them may even start the season as the 6th starter to keep the innings down for CC and Tanaka and limit the possibility of injuries...or, the Yankees could still swing a trade/signing. This team is going to be damn good, barring injuries or catastrophic meltdown.

They’re gonna put in roof junkies but not Roger Maris? Are you kidding me!? LEGENDARY player who is remembered for a LEGIT record, and the guy who broke it USED ROIDS, but Maris isn’t in. I will stop watching Baseball. That is the dumbest arguement ever.

The Red Sox offered JD Martinez 5 yrs/$125 million (the same contract the Angels gave Josh Hamilton that ended up crippling the team) to be the DH. He said not enough and wants to play OF. Now Martinez and Scott Boras are getting fed up and want to negotiate elsewhere. And what team is going to give him a better offer?

Cubs to sign Yu Darvish for 6 yrs/$126 million and he can reach up to $150 million with bonuses and incentives. $21 million is not a bad average annual value, but that is 1-2 years too long with Darvish's age and history of arm injuries.

I would've taken him on the Yankees for the right price, but that's not the right price. More power to the Cubs to doing it, hopefully for them he's worth it for the next 2-3 years.

With all the crap the Pirates did this off-season, I can't even get hyped that spring training is here.

Padres sign Eric Hosmer for 8 yrs/$144 million. Its a front loaded contract with the first 5 years for $100 million and an opt-out, the last 3 years for $39 million and a $5 million signing bonus. He becomes the face of the franchise now but this contract will cripple the team in a few years.

The big thing I am excited about this year for the Pirates is I just read that Aug 4 is Andy Van Slyke Bobble Head night. So I am going to have to figure out a way to obtain one of those. But as far as the season goes this off season killed all my expectations. I will still root for them, but being in NY I really don’t care if I see a televised game or not this year. Which sucks, because since the early 80’s I always look to see when they will be on tv here.

He's shady and crooked and should have stayed as a resort entrepreneur.

Lol, I got judge luckily. Somehow my pitchers are Scherzer, Hamels, Maeda, Stroman, Colome and some other guys. Lineup pretty powerful too. Realmuto, Bellinger, Merrifield, Devers, Arcia, Judge, Pollock, J. Upton, wIth LOMO on the bench. Bench has some good depth too.

The Pirates literally havent spent a dime on a free agent this offseason and over in the AL, the Royals, Rays, Athletics and White Sox all look to be losing 90 games. Some of those FAs can be signed for cheap by those tanking teams, still draw fans and be traded at the deadline.
