Unsigned free agents will be playing a Japanese amateur team in spring training to stay sharp. You can form a team with these guys 1B-Lucas Duda 2B-Neil Walker SS-Danny Valencia 3B-Mike Moustakas OF-Carlos Gonzalez OF-Ichiro OF-Jose Bautista C-Jonathan Lucroy DH-Adam Lind SP-John Lackey SP-RA Dickey SP-Alex Cobb SP-Lance Lynn SP-Jake Arrieta RP-Huston Street RP-Koji Uehara CL-Greg Holland It's too bad that that isn't a real team, but MLB allows the Marlins, Rays, A's and Pirates to intentionally field sh*tty teams. Hell, a portion of that team WERE Pirates. Not saying you're wrong...more that you've got a dang point.

It's too bad that that isn't a real team, but MLB allows the Marlins, Rays, A's and Pirates to intentionally field sh*tty teams. The Pirates literally havent spent a dime on a free agent this offseason and over in the AL, the Royals, Rays, Athletics and White Sox all look to be losing 90 games. Some of those FAs can be signed for cheap by those tanking teams, still draw fans and be traded at the deadline. Pirates. Spending money. Nutting didn't even want to give Cutch a $45mil total contract five years ago as he was running for MVP when he could have made triple that on the market but he wanted to stay here. God, I hate that man and how much he's killed my team.

Phillies sign Jake Arrieta for 3 years/$75 million. That is one year too much IMO.

I can’t say I know much of Arrietta, other than knowing the name and seeing tons of jerseys when I went to Wrigley 2 summers ago... but I’m pretty excited to see him go to work.

Read the Rays are going to field a four man rotation with the bullpen pitching the fifth day. That seems like a disaster waiting to happen

Hopefully Greg Bird doesn't miss the entire year again with "mystery foot ailment" that when they do x-rays and MRI's nothing shows up but he can't play because it hurts for some reason.
The Yankees are already transitioning Miguel Andujar into a first basemen in preparation of Greg Bird not working out.

Oh I just now got an alert that he’s having surgery and will be out 6-8 weeks. That's not that bad. 6-8 weeks shouldn't be hard for the Yankees to cover. At least they found something and they are doing the surgery and hopefully it will be resolved. The worst is what happened last year where he's like "my foot hurts" and they run tests and don't find anything and then he plays rehab games, it still hurts, they shut him down for 2 weeks and try again, starts to hurt again, tests show nothing, shut him down again, try rehab games, starts to hurt again...and this just repeated so many times and they ended up not doing surgery until the end of JULY! At least they hopefully found the issue, hopefully the surgery fixes it for good, and hopefully he can get back and avoid any more issues. Doing the surgery now may actually resolve this faster.

Yeah hell of a debut for Kapler. NOT!
Pull Nola in the 6th after just 68 pitches. Check. Pull Hoskins after he goes 2 for 3 with 2 two baggers. Check. Refuse to put in Neshek to hold a lead. Check. Blow a 5-0 lead. Check.
Gabe better get his head on straight because there's no excuse for those moves yesterday. None.

Loved the Blach party in LA yesterday. He's a good kid. Met him when he was in double A Richmond a few years ago. Looking forward to the Nats game today. I'm ready to have my heart broken again.

Looked like they were on their way to winning and next thing I know I see the score is 5-5 and then later see ATL walked it off. Wasn’t aware of those details, so that makes losing the lead even worse.

Arizona beat Colorado 8-2 yesterday, here's hoping the D-Backs win this one again! We have a damn good roster this season.

Pirates off to a 4-0 start. I might as well enjoy it while I can because it’s not going to last. Their bats did nothing after the first inning of the last two games. They aren’t going to keep getting away with that. And has J-Hay ever seen a pitch he didn’t want to swing at this season? It seems like he is swinging at every pitch thrown.

Anybody know if the cardinals are supposed to make any noise this year? If not I'll go ahead and skip baseball this season.
