No matter how convincing the reports on Machado’s trip to Philly today were, my gut still tells me that Machado will be a Yankee and Bryce will be either a Cub or Dodger. I hope I’m wrong but I have a feeling I’m probably not. Expecting nothing but disappointment. You sir, you are a true Philly fan! ... I also expect nothing but disappointment.

Harper to Dodgers pretty much confirmed.
Machado's preference is supposedly NY, and if the offers are close, that's where he's going.

I'm kind of sad I'm not gonna get to buy a Bryce Harper Yankees jersey, he's just one of those guys I'd love to have on my team. Plus knowing how much of a Yankee fan he is, man...the Dodgers are gonna get him and he will be a mega star for years to come.
That being said....Machado in pinstripes is going to be a beautiful thing.

I ing hate the Dodgers so much. Already hated them but this year put them even higher on my sh*t list. First they steal Machado at the deadline, now they’re gonna sign Bryce Harper in free agency.

Yeah, but since the Yankees are gonna sign Machado, and 2009 happened, and because they're the Yankees, I feel confident in saying that they can go straight to hell first. At this point, go all-in on Keuchel if you ask me. If you can't lock down a stud bat, go to the next best thing - rounding out the rotation. I'm satisfied enough with the moves we've made so far, but most likely coming up empty on both Harper and Machado stings.

Phillies are saving their money for Mike Trout Phillies have enough money to sign one of Machado or Harper, Keuchel, and Trout. Their new TV deal money kicks in this year. They don't need to save, and by all accounts, they are being aggressive - Harper & Machado just want to play elsewhere.

Definitely should go after Keuchel or maybe Kimbrel. The bats in the lineup will either have to be developed or added at the deadline.

I think I'd be satisfied with adding him over Kimbrel. I just feel like Kimbrel would be one of those guys we sign, then the wheels immediately fall off, and we're stuck with him.

Tulo is a nice move for the Yankees. Really a nice risk/reward move for the time Didi is out. I can't say I fully understand it from Tulo's side knowing he's on a clock with them but maybe he thinks he'll be so good for that 2-3 month stretch that he'll force his way into the DH cycle. I still think the Yankees are getting Machado but maybe Tulo is playing the odds that they won't or just wants to be on that team for the ride.

Heard the Phillies don't want to go 5 years on Keuchel. Dumb imo, they need another arm.

The Blue Jays are almost literally PAYING the Yankees to have Tulowitzki on the team. lol
I mean, if he stays healthy it will be good...plus he might be a little extra motivated, who knows. I was more about getting Hechevarria back but whatever, this will do for now. And this does NOT affect their "status" when it comes to Machado, Machado wasn't going to play SS...if they sign him its for 3rd

Heard the Phillies don't want to go 5 years on Keuchel. Dumb imo, they need another arm. I wouldn't put too much stock into these reports, honestly. Everything is basically hearsay or a way to drive up the bidding right now. One day Harper is going here, the next he's going there; one day the Nats come out and say they're out, the next a report comes out saying he could still re-sign. Until the ink on dry, it doesn't really matter.

Until the ink on dry, it doesn't really matter. I agree with that, except the only one I do believe is that Harper is not returning to the Nats. He declined their 10/300 offer, and then they signed Corbin for $140M over 6. I just don't think they'll make an offer for him to stay after that Corbin signing. If he wants years, the Phillies will give him years.

I'm just holding a [probably false] hope that this face-to-face meeting the Phillies are having with Bryce in Las Vegas ends with Bryce signing a deal. I haven't wanted a player in FA like this since Cliff Lee came back after stupid ass RAJ send him away for a bitten off half a ham sandwich.

gonna miss D-Rob, surprised the Yankees didn't go 2/24 to keep him...reasonable price to pay for a guy who's PROVEN himself in NY.
but i guess they are going younger in the bullpen, probably sign Britton now
