Amazing walk off hit by Galvis today. We needed that win today, especially since if we didn't win, Bryce (yawn) Harper would have gotten another game winning homer.
Way to go Phils!

Jacoby Ellsbury sucks. Like Ronda Rousey would say, he's just a do nothing bitch. He can't hit, and so far this year he can't even field his position properly. I can't think of another player in MLB who is less of an impact player. Not only is he not helping the team, he actually HURTS the team when he plays. He's not even old. Most high money guys who suck are old washed up guys at the tail end of their career. What's Ellsbury's excuse?
Maybe the Dodgers want to bail us out on Ellsbury like they did for the Red Sox with Crawford? Then we can put Garder back in center and call up Judge.
Ellsbury Doughboy got his money and turned into a pumpkin.

i know Chapman is amazing, but seriously when he's ready Joe should keep things as they are and just mix Chapman & Betances in the 7th/8th.
Andrew Miller is lights out right now. There's really no reason to remove him from the closer roll. Chapman throws the heat and he obviously should be the new closer, but he might end up struggling considering he hasnt faced live batters in a month+. i'd let him get back in the game, face some guys in the later innings and let Miller close it out. At least for a couple weeks.

so the yankees cant hit lefties yet girardi continues to play his binder and worry about lefty/righty matchups then today a-rod goes out with an injury and ackley (a left handed batter) comes in to face a left handed reliever AND GETS A HIT im getting really sick and tired of this lefties cant hit lefties and righties cant hit righties. just put a ing lineup out there and play baseball. this team SUCKS right now NOBODY is doing anything, and if it wasn't for Brett Gardner we would've probably lost 2 of 3 to the Rays. Ellsbury Gardner Beltran Tex McCann A-Rod Castro Headley Didi There's your lineup. And keep it that way. Stop ing around. Speed at the top, power in the middle, mix bag at the end with more speed in last. If that lineup cant score runs, this team is done and they should seriously start trading pieces and getting to the basement to build their farm. I'm tired of mediocrity, I'm tired of inconsistency. Or just do the old hat trick....put everyone's name in a hat and draw them out...thats your lineup.

The bullpen is getting overtaxed because starters cannot get past the 5th inning most days. Ughhh...... if Huntington would have invested 3 million in Mat Latos over Locke/Vogelsong, what could have been

Yeah, the Pirates went cheap on a lot of the roster this season and it's biting the Shark Tank especially hard. The pitching will get its groove but I just hope they get in the groove before it's too late.

The only thing the Yankees are the best at is stranding runners in scoring position, making first pitch outs, and hitting into the shift. Joe Girardi doesn't undertstand baseball. He manages a team like he's solving a math problem. Platoons and 29 different lineups don't allow anyone to settle in and get into a groove, and the righty/lefty BS is absurd. They didn't bench BABE RUTH when there was a lefty on the mound! Pick a freaking lineup and roll it out there everyday unless there are injuries or somebody needs a rest. Changing the lineup everyday is a knee-jerk reaction and obvious desperation of a manager that clearly doesn't have a clue.

EVERY SINGLE TIME the yankees get a couple of men on base (sometimes even just 1) whoever comes up next swings at the first pitch and makes some kind of out. it drives me ing CRAZY

EVERY SINGLE TIME the yankees get a couple of men on base (sometimes even just 1) whoever comes up next swings at the first pitch and makes some kind of out. it drives me ing CRAZY In years past the Yankees, even when they aren't hitting, always had great batting eyes. For the most part, they didn't waste too many at-bats or helped the pitcher out by flailing out of the strike zone. If they weren't hitting or the pitcher refused to give them something to hit, they would take their walks and get on base and at least put pressure on the other pitcher. Now, the Yankees go up there and flail at an outside pitch trying to pull it, and it will be a first pitch pop up/ground out WEAKLY.
