Man, what a start to the career of Trevor Story. He's got 7 RBI's in his first 3 games, which is 7 more than the entire Padres roster has. Are people in San Diego already calling for Andy Green's job?

"Brooms were sighted in and around the city of Pittsburgh last night. Hearing rumors that it had to do with the Pirates and Cardinals. History shows that when these two teams play no one ever gets to see the elusive broom, but my goodness they were everywhere last night."
Approve.

My Buccos on fire. Considering they have lost the division to the Cards by a game or two the last three years, I'm hopeful that the opening series sweep can be the x-factor in the division. Call me crazy but I just cannot and do not, see the Cubs replicating their year last year. Bullpen and bench is way too suspect.
As for the Pirates, I think they are better defensively and offensively right now tbh. Jaso is an upgrade defensively over Alvarez, and McCutchen hitting in the two spot has already shown dividends. Once Kang gets back to full strength and Glasnow is called up....LOOK OUT

I wish the Phillies could give me a little hope early on in the season at least.....
Oh well.

I wish the Phillies could give me a little hope early on in the season at least..... Oh well. You just had Charlie Morton on the mound, who's got a fancy 14+ ERA. As a Pirates fan, it's ok to cry when Charlie pitches. I promise.

Come on Phillies, just win two in a row and that'd make my season.

Come on Phillies, just win two in a row and that'd make my season. Only two more years, only two more years, only two more years... then we can be happy again.

I hate Coors field. It's a damned vortex. The laws of baseball don't exist there. Anytime the Giants play there I usually just pencil in 1 win and that's sometimes being generous.
I actually got to see a game at Coors late last season. It's ok. It's severely lacking in a lot of areas but it's adequate. It serves it's purpose. I like the outside, it fits well with the other surrounding buildings.
