Gotta give WWE props for giving Styles the rub winning the main event of the Raw after WrestleMania to be the #1 contender for the WWE Championship. Of course he likely won't win the WWE Championship for a while, but it is redeeming for his loss at WrestleMania. I was at Raw and he stayed out for a long time celebrating, high-fiving everyone at ringside and was expressively emotional for such a moment.

Even though I know he's getting fed to Roman, I was so excited to see him win on Monday and I'm sure he and Roman will put on a great match at Payback (in what will most likely be the main event). All I really want from this company is for A.J. to be a major player and succeed.

This isn't a rub, unless of course we're talking about Vince rubbing everyone's faces in it. He's getting fed to Roman. Styles will be feuding with Stardust or some crapfor the IC Title by Summerslam

It's nice to know AJ will be in the main event mix now. I hope the wheels are in motion for a Reigns heel turn.

I don't see this as a bad thing like most people do
Aj is going to main event a wwe ppv for the wwe title
This time last year nobody thought he would ever even be in wwe and with the track record vince has with other promotions top talent I'd say this is good for styles and it says a lot that he is even in that spot this soon he hasn't even been with wwe 5 months

People complain AJ isn't being used right and was jobbed to Chris Jericho.
WWE give him a World Title shot.
People complain that he's being jobbed to Reigns.
Just sit back and enjoy the fact that AJ Styles is getting a WWE Championship match on Pay-Per-View.

Even thought AJ Styles in the Main Event & getting a Title Shot is great. I have feeling this is the beginning of Leakee beating EVERY "Indy Darling" clean in several Title Matches. Which would suck because that shouldn't happen.

We all know he will lose although I just hope the match is great and he still comes off strong.
Idk what they are doing with the IC/US Titles but people like Cesaro, Jericho, Owens, Ziggler, Ambrose, Styles, Zayn, Wyatt, etc should be fighting for them and two of them likely should become new champions very soon.
Kalisto obviously isn't that important to WWE if they are not even going to let him appear on the Raw after WM. I would for sure have someone like Jericho or Owens win the belt from him soon so that they could feud with the list of people I mentioned.
Ryder losing to The Miz is just so stupid. I guess Miz is okay but still someone like Zayn, Styles, or Cesaro should hopefully win the belt in a couple of months.

I'm not giving them props because I believe it's a gigantic mistake. Styles losing to Reigns at Payback does nothing but damage Styles. He's already coming off the loss to Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania. He's going to appear unable to when "big matches" and that hurts his credibility. There is no silver lining to feeding him to Roman four months into the company. It does nothing but hurt his credibility regardless how good the match could be. How does Styles comeback from losing to the guy who few are bigger than? He'd have to beat Brock and that isn't happening. I think it's a mistake. I think it's poor booking.
This idea that I'm supposed to just be happy he's in the main event is complete bulls***. I'm not going to be happy knowing he's just going to get beat and look like s*** four months into the company. WWE has shown with countless talents that once they push them to the top and feed them to the "top guy" they have no idea where to go with them.
Y'all are more than welcome to enjoy the booking and see no issues, but please stop telling anyone who disagrees with you to just "take it for what it is". Our criticism of their booking is just as valid as your praise.

How can you be 100% certain that he's going to lose?

How can you be 100% certain that he's going to lose? Roman isn't losing the championship to someone like AJ under a month into his title run. Lesnar? Rollins? Hunter? Cena? Yeah. That'd be a toss-up. Styles isn't a toss-up. It's a no-brainer.

Curious to know what your honest Mania picks were. Doubt you predicted more than 2 match winners. But its a no brainer

If AJ lost last night and continued his feud with Jericho leading to a 5th match, people would complain.
If AJ lost last night and faded into mid card obscurity with no real direction, people would complain.
AJ won last night and is going to main event a PPV for the WWE Championship 3 months into his run and, you guessed it, people are still complaining.
Now I don't think AJ will win but I don't think he'll lose clean and fade away. If he's getting WWE title matches this quick, the company obviously has big plans for him.

Pitting Styles against Reigns is a good move. Reigns is going to get booed no matter who he goes against, so putting him against a big fan favorite like Styles will work in his favor. Regardless of whether Styles wins or loses the match, they're putting an established star with Reigns to further help him improve. I thought it would be Jericho, but I'm pleasantly surprised they're going with Styles instead.

This reminds me a lot of the early days of Cena-mania. Don't get me wrong I'm looking forward to seeing AJ main eventing a PPV but I'm really interested/concerned to see whether they go down the exact same route of "Don't like this guy? Well here's him beating everyone you like". I think there's at least a chance of someone turning.
