None of those coats, jackets or shirts are rubber. They're plastic. Thank you.

That moment when Bill wishes he never had to make a Sting figure.

It's a bad scan, unless the moment they are trying to capture is him trying to force out a turd. I don't see Mattel making open handed chop hands to recreate Flairs most used maneuver, so call a buck toothed failure of a scan their attempt to recreate somethings is laughable. To me personally, it isnt that bad. It isn't great, could be better but it's a matter of opinion. You think it is bad and that is fine. This is far from the 1st time they have tried to capture a wrestlers common facial expression. Snuka, Sid, Brock, Warrior, Hogan, and several more. They don't always come out great. Sting didn't but I can live with it. I open them and give to my kid so I don't look at them the same way as a collector probably. This stuff just doesn't bother me. I think it looks fine. It looks like a face Sting would make. The ONLY scan/sculpt that really bothered me was Sycho Sid. I just don't want a Sid on my shelf with a smile on his face. To me that's not how I remember him at all. Not the best moment to freeze-frame, in my opinion.

Nothing about this figure screams Defining Moment at all. Unfortunately this figure is just a cash cow for Mattel and easily could of been put in the Elite line, but because it's a surfer Sting and everyone will buy it anyway Mattel could get away with it. I defended the Hogan and Razor DM posts, because personally I didn't mind the rubber shirt on Hogan like most did. To me the figure looked cool enough to be in the Defining Moments box. Same with Razor, while it could of been an Elite the first time Razor figure, the chains, the hairy chest, the vest it still looked cool enough to be a Defining Monent. This looks like it can just be in any Elite box. I don't see the Defining Moments line lasting much after this. Seriously the only accessory at all is his jacket The next DM will have to be something BIG if the line is to survive. If I'm not mistaken the next two are rumored to be Cena and Warrior. To my knowledge Bill hasn't denied this so it's probably true. If that is the case then the line is done. Even if Mattel couldn't get new guys signed like Goldberg or Kurt Angle there are a lot better options they could have done.

I find it funny that people complain about another Sting or the latest DM Austin being DM saying they could easily be regular Elites...then in the next breath say they want a Goldberg DM. What? He would be plainer than the Austin with less accessories. If he was signed that would easily be a simple Elite Flashback.

And no Hulk Hogan because it's going to be quite a while before he comes down a WWE aisle.

I think I have decided that I will only get one for moc and I want the new boot version. I'm in no hurry for it. Hell, wouldn't mind catching one marked down. Total letdown of a figure. At least Crow Sting was great.
