Charlotte vs Natalya was the only match that under preformed. I'd consider that a hell of a show. Especially for only 9.99. dean vs jericho made me want to vertebreaker myself for most of it And hit you with with nightmare on Helm street Besides Aj where does the club go from here ? |

Extreme Rules was pretty good overall. MOTN goes to the Fatal 4 Way IC title match, with the Asylum Match being the 2nd best match. Everything else minus the US title match and Divas title match was good. My two problems with Roman vs. AJ was how Roman made the Styles Clash look ineffective as hell by kicking out of it twice, and how Roman no sold the sea of chair-shots from Styles to give him a mid-air Spear. Considering how Styles rarely uses the Styles Clash, that fact alone should make him using the move be a one and done. Other than those two problems, Styles vs. Roman would be my third favorite match tonight. Extreme Rules gets an 8/10 for me.

Great show outside of Charlotte/Natalya and the Reigns/AJ finish.
Of course Reigns was winning, there was never any doubt. But, once again, it's the manner in which he won, just like last month, only even more egregious. He takes two Styles Clashes, one on a steel chair, and a dozen chair shots to the back, and pops up like nothing even happening. Meanwhile, Styles, who just dished out all that punishment and couldn't get the pinfall, goes down and out to a single spear, just like last month.
It's absolutely pathetic, it's Cena vs. Nexus 2010 levels of terrible. Just completely inexcusable and indefensible. And, of course, the moment the bell rings, the life is immediately sucked from the arena, because the Roman Reigns experiment continues to fail miserably.
There's absolutely no stock in the Club coming out of this feud. AJ had two great matches, but lost both with tremendous amounts of interference on his behalf. Anderson and Gallows have already been 50/50 booked to hell, and now two of the four massive January signings are just two more WWE mid-card guys, and who knows what AJ is/will be.
Rollins coming back is great. He looks great. He's clearly the better choice to be the number one babyface in the company, but I have very little hope or expectation that they'll pull the trigger on that.

I thought the PPV started out pretty damn good up to the asylum match. The asylum match itself was a little slow but we got a thumbtack spot that we haven't seen in about 10 years (was it Orton or Edge who took the tacks last?) so it had a nice payoff. Women's title match made for a good break to smoke and crap. Main event was okay but the expected RomanWinsLOL ending pretty much made all the rest of it feel like irrelevant filler, I just couldn't get invested in the match. Seth's return means Raw tomorrow is must watch TV. Would have preferred AJ vs Rollins feud for the title but at least Seth has a chance against Roman. Outside of Cena, Seth is the only wrestler the WWE might put over Reigns.

Seth's return would have been SO much better if Reigns was hunched over and Rollins comes in and Curb Stomps him. The Pedigree looked so  ing dumb being used like that. |
