I was there live and I can just say the match between Reigns and Styles was unbelievable and the return from Rollins was legendary and something I certainly will never forget.

Will they let Rollins have the title, or will they just feed him to Reigns like they did with AJ? Roman Reigns is THEIR Guy. They don't care if the majority of the audience agrees or not. I see Reigns going over Rollins.

Everyone who faces Reigns will have to play some sort of tweeter and then just deal with the consequences after the feud because WWE needs to ensure that Roman Reigns' official company designation remains "babyface" at absolutely all costs, no matter what their audience says and attendance says and merchandise says. I assume that rule will apply to Rollins.

I'm saying it right now, If Rollins came back to stay heel just so super protected Reigns can stay babyface and go over coward heel Rollins like he did for the last year and a half on probably a half a dozen occasions, I'll be taking a VERY long break from WWE. That will be the straw that breaks the camels back for me.

My guess:
Seth vs Roman at MitB for the title Dean wins MitB
It's Seth vs Roman for Summerslam.
The two make their grand entrances, and right when the match is about to start, Dean waltzes down the ramp and cashes in MitB. Boom! Shield triple threat at Summerslam.

Outside of Cena, Seth is the only wrestler the WWE might put over Reigns. And therein lies the frustration of most of the knowledgeable audience. We all know that Reigns will go over all of these people. In order to book professional wrestling successfully, your audience needs to believe that (within reason) anybody could beat each other on any given night. The Reigns experiment leaves a sour taste with the majority of fans because we know the outcome before we get there.. we are simply watching to see how they connect the dots. They need to have these guys like Cena and Reigns lose a bit more. Not a LOT more.. because there does need to be the 'main guys'.. but Reigns and Cena should not avoid clean losses. The ADR/Cena match was an absolutely horribly booked exception where WWE opted to do something right but a) only did it because Cena wanted time off if I recall? b) picked the wrong guy and booked the aftermath horribly.

Just to add, Mick Foley/Chris Benoit/Eddie Guerrero/Kurt Angle would not have shone in the current creative environment. Chris Jericho wouldn't and, if we're honest, doesn't. He goes stale fast (even though he's incredibly talented and, as an individual performer, makes the most of every single feud they give him). Why? Because WWE can't correctly book their second tier of stars in order to manage and ensure their longevity.
More often than not, Mick Foley lost on PPV. But yet, he main evented or co-main evented Attitude era PPV's semi-regularly and had a consistent investment from the audience. And the reason for that - on 3 occasions he did take the title from the biggest stars including the Triple Threat with Austin/HHH.
That's the equivalent of AJ Styles winning against Cena and Reigns in a Triple Threat in the modern day. Would that ever happen? No.
More variety needed in their booking, I think.

You will get no argument from me. I just didn't care about tonight's main event no matter how hard AJ and Reigns tried to put on a good match because of ReignswinsLOL. To think that in 8 days CenaWinsLOL returns and we will have two supermen locking up main event-ish slots on every show...ugh. I'll watch but I'll be thinking of what could have been instead of what is.

Anyone who thinks Roman Reigns isn't talented is either lying to themselves or is a fool. But I just wish he would be as likely to lose as win, instead of constantly going over these guys. WWE have a whole ing roster of incredible workers ready to get a taste of the big one.. and they seem to refuse to give it to anyone but their chosen boys.

Reigns can be in the main event spot, I think he's awesome. But not at the expense of other awesome guys like Styles or Ambrose or Rollins.
