After my Retron 2 broke during a move, my fiance recently surprised me with a Retron 5. Yesterday, I set it up and it worked like a charm. Much more user friendly. Anyway, today I played my original Game Boy cartridges for the first time with it. The first cartridge, everything was fine. I switched out to another game. Immediately, the sound was non existant, even though the game played normally. Now, no matter Game Boy, NES or SNES, there's no more sound. Not even the little selection SFX in the menu screen. My TV comes up with the error message of "Unrecognized Audio. Check device output."
Is there any way to restore the sound? Or am I SOL after only a day of ownership? Any help or advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Fixed the sound issue. No idea why it crapped out in the first place, but on a hunch, I unhooked the HDMI cord from the box for few seconds. Replugged it, then powered it on again. Everything had sound, even the original Game Boy games.
