Hey guys.
I wanted to get into making my own decals, and after doing a bunch of research on the forums it seems like most people use/swear by the waterslide decals. My own experience doing my Hollywood Hogan custom with decals I bought, I would like to go the route of waterslide decals. Just wanted to hear people's thoughts on which they would recommend. The Papilio Waterslide decal paper or the 'Candle w/ Bird & Nest logo' Waterslide decal paper that I saw on ebay?
Also during my research I seen that the process most people use when putting on decals is: (1) put a clear coat on the decals, (2) then give it the waterbath treatment, (3) put on the decal, (4) put Micro Sol on, (5) then put on the sealer. Would this process be correct? Do most people use this process? Should I do this process for Waterslide Decals? I ask, because on the Hollywood Hogan custom I made, I didn't put on a clear coat or the Micro Sol, and I don't see any issues with it yet.
Thanks everyone. Any input or recommendations would be gladly appreciated.

If you don't put a clear coat and then touch it before it drys, it smudges badly.
I wouldn't be too nitpicky on the brand.

Papillo works amazing
Micro sol is a softner, so if you are putting the decal on a place with a lot of crevices, it helps the decal form to the surface
Micro set is an adhesive, which works very well
Krylon matte finish spray works great as a decal sealant, 3 or 4 coats before the water bath
Always print 3 or 4 extra decals
Feel free to pm me with any other questions

I also made an updated instructional video on how to apply them.
