The mini rings with the 6 figures were some of my all time favorite sets. I wish they'd sold packs of the figures without the rings, as I would have cleaned out stores back in the day.
Despite the scale not being perfect, WCW came out with a mini figure die cast set, which I couldn't pass up. I had my own WCW/nWo invasion in 1998.
I picked up one of those Brawl 4 All sets & hated the figures, so I never bought another one after it. But the accessories, like the dumpster, was amazing.

The Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, and later Survivor series sets were some of my favorite toys in 1998 I actually think I played with them more than my BCAS during that period. I actully think they did sell at least one set without the ring, pretty sure it was Bret, Sid, Taker, and Vader from the Mania ring in a four pack. Also, was that the same dumpster that came with the Survivor Series set?

I also bought the Survivor Series set & was surprised to see the figures were a little smaller than the previous sets. As far as the dumpster goes, yes it was the same one. They were just painted 2 different colors.

These mini-figures were the figures that got me into collecting! The 6-packs. I saw the RAW one at the K-B Toy store I worked at, and then I found the WrestleMania one at TRU, and I thought they were awesome.
They were pretty much just tinier BCA figures, but I always thought the BCA were kinda crappy. Shrunken down, however, they were very cool.
I was sad when a couple new sets came out with mostly repaints. And then they switched to the bigger figures, with crazy playsets, which also were pretty cool, just not as cool.
I was always sad we never got a mini Ken Shamrock. I think he was the only wrestler in the WWF War Zone video game who didn't get a mini fig.

Ever since I posted in this thread I've been reminiscing about these and about how I used to play with them. Since I had my regular figure fed with my BCAs, I came up with a different way to use these. I would set up the three rings I had (Mania, Rumble, and Suvivor Series) and have what I called Trio Warfare Torunaments that were basically just big round robin streetlights with with teams of three: -HBK and the Outlaws -Austin, Cactus Jack, and Chainsaw Charlie -Bret, Owen, and Bulldog -Taker, Kane, and Vader managed by Bearer -Sid and the LOD -Lawler and Mero (since I was one figure short, they were cocky heels who felt they didn't need a third partner)
I had a lot of fun with those sets.

I found an old thread that calls the figures I'm looking for "slammers" but all I can find online is a series of 5 inch figures called Slammers. These have to be later then the playmates ones because I swear I remember a Jericho and maybe a Jarrett? Slammers were a brief line that used the Brawl-4-All (see above post) bodies and accessories with real-scan heads. I think they only made Jericho, Austin, and Rock. They came single carded though, not with rings or 2 packs with videos like the earlier B4A figs. Just when i thought I've seen it all! Can't believe I've never seen these before

Here in the UK, we had a catalogue store called Index and they actually sold some of the sets just as a figure set without the rings. I remember getting a brand new set of Raw Is War figures after my original set of figures had a ton of wear and tear on them.

Was it anything like the WrestleMania 4-pack pictured above?

They looked really cool with the scanned heads, and I was sad we never got more.

I don't think I'd seen any of these other than the Jericho way back when, good job finding these.

Was that stone cold head later used for an RA figure? I think I have it actually I think so. The CSTT Series 3 2-Pack figure with Rowdy Roddy Piper and RA 16 come to mind, as well as the One Night Stand and WM21 Series 3 Austin figures.
