I'm looking at the current WWE games and I'm tired of getting the same game every year only with a new roster, less characters from the previous year and a few new features. But looking back years ago the PS had their own WWE games and so did Nintendo and that gave fans different experiences because they had their own styles.
Take Smackdown 2 and No Mercy for example both basically had the same roster but where entirely different games due to their own match types and unique gameplay and even the GBA had it's own WWE games aswell.
Now I haven't forgotten the Xbox's WWE games which were horrible but putting that aside Nintendo's WWE games were really awesome and had a different feel from the Smackdown series. Anyone else agree?

Agree 100% however mainstream media has found its groove and these games are from times past of exploration and experimentation. Last time we had this was with legends of wrestle MANIA. But people still kept with the standard sdvr series which I'd now just wwe 2k??.

I would like to see something new like a remastered no mercy type of game, better graphics (obviously) and a decent roster with story mode. I could see it working for the wii u

I'd like to see the games go back to the arcade style. I still play SmackDown 2 on a weekly basis - let's have something like that again.

I'd like another over the top game, like Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game.
I loved WWE All Stars because it was similar to that.

Chances are it'd just be the last-gen version of 2KCurrentyear but with a game pad gimmick or two. Unfortunately, Wii U sales have shown 2K that it isn't even worth the development costs of doing that, let alone a whole new game.

If WWE is available on the Wii U, I'm happy.

Yeah it would be cool if different consoles offered different games like they used to. Unfortunately, XBOX and PS make identical games for obvious reasons. I'm not a big fan of the Wii. If Nintendo could come out with a new system I'd be all for WWE games on it.

Having said that I'm surprised the 3ds has never had WWE games.

There are a ton of mods available for No Mercy. Better graphics, new rings/ arenas, almost unlimited rosters, etc.

If they were to make a Nintendo WWE game, it would have to hark back to the AKI engine or it's modified counterpart from Day Of Reckoning.

An updated wrestlefest with some of the current roster as well as the classic wrestlers would be fun.

I feel like what I loved so much about WCW/NWO: World Tour & Revenge wasn't just it being good for it's time or the first to really use the modern grappling system, but the graphics themselves.
They had a very cool, cartoony style that WWE All Stars totally didn't encapture, I'd like to see a new WWE Game with cartoony effects outside of the Bejeweled one they made.
It'd be extra cool if it was a WCW Legends game actually since Goldberg is getting so much hype right now.

Well, we might be getting a Wrestling game on a Nintendo again with the release of the Switch next year.

Well, we might be getting a Wrestling game on a Nintendo again with the release of the Switch next year. Hope so but I don't want it to be a switch port of 2K18. I want it to be it's own game with it's own exclusive features and control styles.
