Funny how one joint can get you YEARS in prison but something like rape and murder only gets you six months to a year. Our judicial system has been screwed for years and this is just another example of it. Rich, entitled kids get the world handed to them on a silver platter while the average working Joe has to scratch and claw and tear just to make it from one week to the next. This story sickens me But I'm glad you posted it. I hope they reverse that decision and dole out a much harsher sentence. I feel bad for the victim here because everything she said was right and now she has to live with the fact that her attacker will be out in time for Christmas. Oh and the guys dad makes me want to slap him. "He already paid the price". That's BS and the dad should be chokeslammed through his silver platter for being such an idiot. However most have to register as a sex offender for life |

Punishment was pathetic! He should be doing 8yrs minimum prison time. Hope this judge doesn't get re-elected .

The sentence was a joke. But what isn't a joke, is what he did to that girl.
He better give his soul to the Lord because his ass WILL belong to the other inmates. He should know how it feels to be violated.

I really can't believe the justice system in this country. If I was that boys father I'd have his ass locked up for good, he ruined some girls life now he needs to be raped and see how it feels. i think that this young man clearly deserved a more severe punishment, but wishing rape on ANYONE is just really  ed up. and i see it time and time again with people talking about people in jail, like it's just so great to consider that a man (criminal or not) is going to be sexually abused and molested. that is a form of torture - not rehabilitation. clean up your jailing institutions, make the prevalence of male sexual abuse and violence less of a threat (it's supposed to be a controlled are), and then there would be far less argument to keeping a guy under 25 outta there. wishing rape upon a rapist is not okay. There's so much wrong with this but overly sensitive mods would just lock it. |

I still think all rapists should be castrated. It's extreme - but they gave up their humanity the moment they did that vile crime.

Fact is this.
Be responsible. Don't allow yourself to get so drunk that you pass out. Maybe she was druged. Maybe not. Either way, be responsible enough and care enough about yourself to not put yourself in a situation where things could get worse.
Don't be a scumbag and rape people. Its absolutely mind blowing that people rape people. I don't condon the other option, but if you are that desperate, find a call girl. Its cheaper to pay and play, then do time.
Our judicial system is garbage. Thats no news.
The father is being a father without being a father. If my son did anything like this, with all the love in my heart, I would disown him.
The thing that bothers me the most, is without social media, a story like this would have gone untold because everyone would have been payed off.

According to recent press on this story Brock will only serve 3 months in prison, and he'll get his own cell to protect him.
Recently they had a story about a man who served 5 years in prison for rape, a rape he was later found innocent of having committed.
Im just glad Brock will not be representing the USA in swimming competitions.

This entire story pisses me off, aside from the two guys who helped stopped him. I feel so bad for her, after all that he only is going to get three months in jail? Ridiculous.

It's not even a case of injustice being done - it's an utter disregard for everything sacred in terms of the judicial system and what befalls punishment of such an abhorrent nature.

I feel like we give criminals way too many chances to do horrible things - this would help stop rape. But the guy from Sanford apparently only used his fingers. Not to say he wasn't going to go on to full-on rape in time, but he didn't get that far - because he was caught? Too drunk? So we can cut off some fingers and everybody who sees his gimp hand will say "Oh, you're THAT guy." It would be nice. |
