That's pretty awesome. Hopefully WWE puts out an OVW DVD one day and they interview you or contact you in some sort of way since you're the owner of the original belt. I'd be surprised if they did that. A lot of the footage is low quality and they are no longer affiliated with WWE in any way. Now if they do some sort of career retrospective they may, but not full blown OVW documentary.

Here's an update I repainted the corners of the main plate and the lettering to how it was originally. The rest of the belt is staying as is. Once the paint dries I'm going to clean up the new paint lines and add a bit of "wear" to them. that looks good man. I thought you were gonna leave it how it was though? I thought about it. I'm not gonna touch anything else on it. Just wanted to put it back to how it was when I was going regularly.

That's really neat! Probably one of the most unique items for any fan to own. Well done!

My question is this... Are you ever going to get any former champs to sign it or would you rather leave it unmarked? Probably leave unsigned. That's a very cool and unique get, enjoy it! I do have a question though, what the heck is on the first side plate on either side? From afar it looks like it might be a suplex, but close up it just looks like a bunch of random blobs.. It's a vertical suplex If you're any good with Photoshop, you could make a collage of everyone who held that belt and attempt to get everyone to sign it. I know it would take a long time but it would look great displayed in our near the shadowbox you're having made. And, please, don't get that belt repaired. Leave that piece of history as is.

I know it's worth what someone will pay for it blah blah. But realistically, what is this thing worth when you factor in it's history? Is $5,000 in the right ballpark? $10,000? I'm not asking what you paid for it. This is a general question to others in this thread. I'd pay those figures easily for the ECW championships.

Awesome get man. I am with you on that. The cost of the championship should never be disclosed. As for getting signatures on the belt, don't. Better to keep signature free.
Ring used championships are hard to come by. Those that do have them in their collection would usually keep most of the details to themselves.
After seeing clips of OVW TV, their production wasn't the greatest. The WWE could easily create a documentary given they own all of the footage while OVW was a developmental territory

I would have left it how it was. Good share though. I definitely wouldn't have coughed up the cheese to buy that. I'm actually surprised a former or current wrestler didn't try purchasing it.

That's really awesome. I like replica belts n stuff but to have the real deal is something else entirely.

That's so cool, and a legit piece of wrestling history. Is that the only one used during that time or were there any others?

It's almost 20 years old at this point. So technically you are the reigning and defending OVW Champion?! Well OVW has a champion already. I may have to show up and claim I'm rightfully the champ. Though I kind of M$M my way into the the title lol.

It'll cost them a hell of a lot more than what I paid for it.

I'm a huge OVW fan. I bought the weekly DVDs from 2002-2005. I met Kevin Fertig at an indy show in West Virginia a couple months ago and we talked OVW when he was Seven. Jeter, Seven, Bane(Tomko) and Dinsmore were my favorites.
