Hoping Jericho is in his pink gear from Shut Your Mouth/Here Comes the Pain attire C since it isn't going to be WM X8, but I would also accept the purple barbed wire with the '99-'00 headscan
E23 Taker is an acceptable rerelease if they can make it more purple and less blue
L6 Warrior is ok because they can add the blonde hair wash
Kamala will hopefully still have cloth and be slightly different if possible, even though I don't have the first one
Hopefully Magnum's vest was not changed from cloth to plastic like Austin's shirt
I have no real opinion on HBK other than I'm saddened that freaking Mr. 1000 Atttires Shawn Michaels is being released in a previously done attire, and a bland one at that

Why exactly are people unhappy about four reissues and a repaint in this set? Did I miss Bill posting somewhere that this is the LAST Undertaker figure they are ever releasing...or the LAST HBK figure ever...or the LAST Warrior figure? Nope, pretty sure he never said that.
The four reissues are interesting looking figures and will look great in the new packaging. It makes sense to Mattel's bottom line to release them this way.
We finally get the Magnum figure that people have been begging for since its cancellation. Yay?
Yeah, it sucks that Koko was canned...but did Bill confirm he was NEVER being made? All I saw was that Koko is not going to be in E44. Nothing about him NEVER being made.

I'm guessing if there were any variations that bill would have mentioned something about it. I only wish the re releases were of harder to find figures like bam bam bigelow, e12 Kane etc... It would be nice if in the future , the re releases were repaints instead or had some variation to appeal to collectors who already own the figure. I would buy the new undertaker if the purples were more purple and the warrior if the belt was fixed and maybe a new head for variation Yeah, Bam Bam is a good example of Mattel shooting themselves in the foot to have an alt attire from Jakks. Either attire is very iconic for him, but I'd say the "logo" tights were more iconic since he wore them during his runs with WWF, ECW, and WCW. He'd make a great candidate for a repaint, though. Really solid figure and has 2-3 more iconic costumers to depict. |

People are unhappy, because they've been wanting the legends line to come back for years. We get excited because it's finally happening, but turns out most of us already have those figures and we don't need to buy them again. Which then turns to paranoia/upset when the line won't do well at retail and then once again tanks. Why exactly are people unhappy about four reissues and a repaint in this set? We'll see once more info comes out. Their picture choices leave my imagination to run wild, and I hope Magnum is just the Series 7 figure never released. Oh I am sure that will be the Magnum we get, but can it be a best of if it was an originally cancelled figure? Ok when I preordered Magnum there weren't pics of the figures up yet. So does this mean Jericho will be like e20 in a different trunks or will be be a long haired FB? If Jericho is in trunks I guess I will just be getting Magnum, because I have multiples of the previous released figures in the set already. That's all. Yeah, I know. I've been on the Mattel train since day one and have all the figures they're reissuing. Why am I not pissed? Because I don't complain just to hear myself complain...that's why. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with this. People are unhappy, because they've been wanting the legends line to come back for years. This is a good way to reissue good figures and get them into the hands of people who missed them, or who want them in updated packaging. No Koko in E44 it is true. I'm as disappointed as you as I wanted a Mattel Koko and Frankie. The Elite Legends line is not a relaunch of the Legends line. Undertaker, Michaels, Ultimate Warrior and Kamala are reissues in new packaging (Elite Flashback). Jericho is a new deco and Magnum is new, sorta.. Elite line will continue to have Flashbacks in it. Good ones in my opinion. |
