This! I am a flashback/legends collector only, and aside from one figure (Tugboat), I'm not that stoked about these lineups. I'm afraid too many will shelf warm, which will send the wrong message about releasing more flashback/legends figures.
I would have liked to see something like this...
L6 Warrior with new head sculpt and yellow IC belt Macho Man with pink or purple star tights and preferably a robe Roddy Piper with long hair from his IC title days Bam Bam repaint from a more recognized era Typhoon Barefoot Snuka (ok, I know I'm dreaming now...)
That highlighted part is out of your control, so why worry about it at all? Mattel has shown an interest in getting more legends figures to us at all costs (DM, RSC Exclusives, WalGreens Exclusive, ToysRUs Exclusive). I don't think you have ANYTHING to worry about.
My worry is they will shelf warm which will prompt a pull-back reaction, and thus preventing other desired flashbacks from getting released. If the figures don't sell, retailers won't re-order. If retailers don't re-order, it will prompt changes. The conclusion might be, "we tried a legends assortment and it tanked".

So freaking ecstatic that it's official and we're finally getting Magnum. But is he the only new figure in the series? I'll grab this HBK if it has any changes from E19, but I have all these figures already. And I can't see myself spending that much on that Warrior even if it has the corrected belt since I dropped $80 on eBay for the original L6 one.
Looks like just Magnum, Macho Man, and Tugboat for me. I'm guessing Jericho is gonna be brand new since he doesn't have a picture up, so as long as it's a WCW or WWF era style I'll grab him too. Hope we don't have to wait till SDCC to find out.

omg. what if elite 45 is all current stars. what if....it actually has elite Tyler Breeze....elite Titus O'Neil. god forbid the Ascension. i'll pass out Chipall that needs to happen. E45 should be Breeze D Young Titus Ascension Sheamus....yes im not joking As much as I'd like that line up I'm expecting another cena/reigns/Orton as well as a couple of other upper carders |

Yesterday: "DM Warrior isn't worth $25. What a rip off." Today: "Just preordered a reissued L6 Warrior for $27. Awesome deal." Oh, Gee let me see. Would I rather have a reissued UW based on his look from the MAIN EVENT of WRESTLEMANIA and quite possibly his best match ever or shell out money for his way less popular singlet look and attire based on a tag team that lasted about as long as someone sneezing. Gee, the first world problems we have.. |

then mattel re-releases legends kamala
so did they sign him for 2 figures? but because he didnt change his look ever, they just re-did it?
or is he one of the guys that's not a per-figure deal?
how does this work?
because we are getting Shockmaster & Tugboat, which are the same guy...but not Typhoon which was his most popular and most over character (at least as of yet) so if they signed him to a 2 figure deal, and we only get those 2, thats kind of weird.
like how do these re-releases work in contract status?

and why is jericho in the legends line? but tugboat/savage in the new elite set? you'd think they would put jericho in the new set with at least tugboat in legends....unless its another flashback jericho? but like what?
i really want a new modern jericho with a better jacket. i dont care about his tattoo

Only thing I'm really interested in out of these is Magnum TA, considering the Legends are just repaints. Already have E19 HBK and E23 Taker. Maybe get Jericho, as long as he's updated.
Maybe to Sasha Banks, if she comes with the shades and BOSS necklace.
Strowman's a maybe as well, as he'd go good with the rest of the Wyatt's.
Emma's a retail possibility, as is the Basic Joe, considering he's not in black/red attire.
Nothing really must have here.

Please don't let Shockmaster and Tugboat be the only two versions we get of that guy... If it's a two figure deal, then we would be in trouble.

For me, this is disappointing. We see a new "Elite Legends" series announced with characters we love and get our hopes up ... only to find out that four of the six figures are straight re-releases. Some of us have been dying for a new Legends series ever since the old one ended. Bummer.
I, too, am worried that these will shelf warm, like Bossman, etc. Now if this particular line continues with, say, three reissues and three new characters or attires per series or something similar to that, that could work. I would still prefer repaints to straight-up reissues. HBK/Warrior have a million different attires from the same era as those being rereleased, why not give us some different colors? I've been collecting the line since the start so this bums me out. (Also, I just watched an old SNME episode and Kamala had different facepaint, etc. Why not slightly change him?)
We'll be OK in the long run because they've done a good job of pumping flashbacks into the normal elite line, but like I've been saying for months, I'd still prefer two separate lines. As much as I prefer flashbacks, I also think we've probably missed out on some great potential current elites due to the current setup. Wish both current and flashbacks had the ability to dig a little deeper.

I'm disappointed that the Legends aren't repainted attires (HBK in one of his many pre-DX 97 sets, Taker in grey, etc) but TBH the fact that they're releases doesn't bother me. They're in their own subset which means they're not taking spots from anyone else, and frankly the affect on the secondary market means nothing to me (plus, the initial releases will probably hold their value MOC as first editions anyway)
