I mean, I'm not on "I don't want to talk about it" territory, and I'm also genuinely excited to watch the team with the new additions. So I guess they're going to hurt me real bad. What's your thoughts on those flightless birds?

The off season is over and we're officially into the 2019-2020 season. The Blues have a chance at defending their crown, although I'm not too interested in a repeat and would like to see some other team take it.

Golden Knights - Sharks is absolutely gonna be the first round playoff. VGK look pretty solid when Karlsson starts scoring. Stone and Smith are unstoppable right now. Big road trip ahead though.

The play-in has been really fun. I’m pulling for the Hawks, but they have more of a 2009 than 2010 feel to me. They’re still really soft on the back end and you really don’t know what you’re getting out of Crow from game-to-game. Nice to see young pieces like Dach and Highmore be so impressive. I think they’re going to run Keith dead if they make any kind of run. He’s logging 2015 miles.
Some fun teams in the mix. Be cool to see any of Calgary, Philly, or Toronto (if they can win tonight) go get one. I’d also be interested in seeing Tampa or Colorado do it. Just enjoying games being back and the parity the break created.

The Jackets-Leafs series was a ton of fun to watch. I'm personally rooting for a Vegas-Carolina Final since the Wild are out but also wouldn't mind seeing Weber or Giroux or Pavelski hoist the cup.

11 years later the Bruins get Taylor Hall. Possibly a good move, but I’m not much of a believer in this year’s Bruins to make any noise in the playoffs.

Crazy hits and happenings this playoffs. As a Wings fan, I am cheering for Winnipeg considering I have close friends up there.
Who else is watching?

I would mostly agree except that I think it's a charge. The hit itself was shoulder to shoulder. Once Scheifle switches from backchecking to a hit, I think it becomes charging. My guess is Scheifle was finishing a check and had no idea he was coming in that hot. I also think Evans should probably keep his head up when in that close to the net trying to pot a goal. I guess Scheifle will get a game or two.

I’ll fully admit to being wrong on Hall. He’s been a great fit and I’m hoping they can work something out this off-season.
As for making noise in the playoffs, I think if good Tuukka shows up the rest of the series the B’s have a great shot of moving on. My confidence in the next round is entirely opponent dependent.

I liked Hall on the Bruins since I heard it. I'm a big fan of Hall but I must admit that post-Edmonton Hall playing places like Arizona and Buffalo has been a disappointment. Having him on a traditionally decent team with a shot is great.

How about that Brad Marchand guy?
Maybe it’s a bit of the homer in me, but I think he could be sniffing the HHOF before he’s done. Right now at 33 he’s got 319g 396a. Assuming he remains healthy and as productive he probably knocks on the door of 500 goals/1000 points for his career. Not a slam dunk HOFer, but the hockey version isn’t exactly as tough as baseball’s for comparison.

The kind of guy you would love to have on your team, but otherwise hate. Not many players around with his style who also have legit top line superstar skills.

It would be hard to call myself a hockey fan, but I always follow the playoffs. I root for the NY teams, more so the Islanders as they are my dads team. I’ve also pulled for Vegas since they came into the league. I’ll probably root for Seattle as well.
