Thanks everyone for the advice. I am set on selling them since I have a lot more and not a big fan of that era anyways.
I think a lot of it is getting older too. I've been loosing more and more interest in collecting having already sold my final fantasy collection.

What's she giving up to save space? Wondered if someone would ask that. I'd box them and stash them in a closet. That way they're there if something ever happens and the relationship hits rocks, or when if you guys stay together long term and get a bigger place and can display them again in all their glory. Listen to this man

The key word in your sentence is "girlfriend"...There is no commitment when its just a girlfriend. She could leave you tomorrow. Wrestling figures are with you forever and ever! Listen to this guy!^

In all seriousness, how many New Gen figures were made? Box them up in one of those flat storage boxes and put them under the bed! Coming from a guy who sold his Galoob collection twice... Don't sell unless you're buying a ring for her.

I could never collect toys if I was single. And by single I mean not married. If it came down for me to choose between my girlfriend or my figures then I would pick my girlfriend. If we don't last then I would still need to find a new girl. That's what I would spend my time on.

Sell the ones you know are more rare by themselves (such as Diesel) and then put the others together in lots. The best way to do it is in lots of three or four and put one or two guys together with one that someone really wants. So, say if you have someone like a Basic DH Smith that more people might be interested in, then pair him up with someone who everyone likely already has a ton of like a Basic John Cena or Sheamus or whatever. That's the best way to do it, in my opinion, because people will bid more for the figure they really want and then justify paying too much because it is a lot of four figures after all, even if they don't really care about the other three. If you need to know which figures are more popular then just check eBay and see who is currently selling for what and how many of them are listed/completed.
Now, when you find your girl cheating in six months and come back looking to replace your collection...

There was only one time I sold off my entire collection of WWE and WCW toys, that was when my ex-wife was pregnant with our first child.
Since then I've amassed a large collection of Mattel, video game, Figuarts, Figma, and Funko figures. I've parted with some collection pieces, both with & and without regret.
The point is, selling out of necessity is a last resort. Long live collecting!

You can always get them again.
Worst place to ask this question.
Girls > toys

Getting rid of figures for anyone that isn't your *WIFE* is dumb, IMO. Doing it the other way around, as others have said, is kind of backwards.

Yeah if it's just a space issue do either of you have a relative that would be willing to let you store them there?
I've stored figures at relatives houses many times over the years to avoid having to sell them prematurely. Only sell the figures when you have absolutely no want for them anymore.

I've been loosing more and more interest in collecting having already sold my final fantasy collection. I went through a "purge" stage when I turned 17, sold absolutely every figure I owned. 8 years later I was back in the hobby and wanting to choke my 17 year old self lol.
