So my girlfriend and I are moving in together soon and I've amassed a healthy collection of elite flashbacks. She's not against me collecting but its a space issue. So I've decided to part with my new generation era collection and wanted to ask if its better to sell them individually or as a group? Mind you I've collected some rare ones like Diesel, red & black Yokozuna, & amazon Mankind.
What would you suggest?

Box them up and keep them.. too many people regret it, then try and go back and get them and pay way too much.

You'll be pissed when you have to buy them back later down the road at a higher cost than you sold them for...

These guys are right. Store them. Their value will only go up.

Box them up and keep them.. too many people regret it, then try and gogo back and get them aND pay way too much. Yep. Unless it's a financial issue, put them in a box and storage if u have to. Just my opinion. But if dead set on selling them, break them up if u have the time. You'll make more

The key word in your sentence is "girlfriend"...There is no commitment when its just a girlfriend. She could leave you tomorrow. Wrestling figures are with you forever and ever!

I've seen so many people do this and it sucks, so if you don't need the money and its just about the space and you would like to keep them then just box them up. You'll always be able to have them but the wont take up space.

Store them. Guys like Diesel and Mankind will likely only get more valuable MOC, even if they're reissued (I have a feeling Diesel will very soon) so yeah, store them somewhere. This is of course assuming it's just a space issue as opposed to a financial issue.

What's she giving up to save space? Wondered if someone would ask that. I'd box them and stash them in a closet. That way they're there if something ever happens and the relationship hits rocks, or when if you guys stay together long term and get a bigger place and can display them again in all their glory.

So I'll actually answer the question.
If u have the time break it up and sell them 1 at a time. U will get more money, but it takes much longer.

Agree with others on both fronts.
If issue is space then box and store them. If space is really tight see if a relative has a spare room or attic you can store the boxes in.
If finance is the issue then sell them individually. Give a minute or two between each ebay listing and don't list all your rare ones first or last. Mix them between smaller ones as people tend to want to but multiples to make postage more economic. Plus when you lost the postage make sure it's enough to cover the cost of postage, packaging and PayPal/ebay fees. No shame in making a tiny extra margin here. And when you combine discount each postage don't give it all at cost!
But as above if you can keep them then do. During the Jakks days I sold mine when I though I was going to move in with one girlfriend. Never got that far and was gutted. Started recollecting and met someone else (now my wife). As we were moving in I stupidly did the same thing. After moving in for a few years we both admittedly we liked WWE and have been collecting again for 3 years or so. My wife loves my figures.
So best advice is do what you like and if you want to sell them or need to sell them then fine. Otherwise store and keep them.
Best of luck in whatever you decide to do!

Selling them individually would make you more money but it takes a long time to sell a lot of figures that way.

Plus don't use eBay. Buyers are cheapskates and dont like paying postage or a fair price and because of the ripoff seller's fee's you'll make nothing once postage and packaging come into it.
Sell a fig for £30 and you'll make about £21. Times that by 10 and the £300 you know they are worth turns into about £200, your £3000+ collection turns into £1750-2000. EBay sucks balls.
If you can, go privately or on here.

Small lots usually work best. I don't agree with storing them. What's the point of a collection if no one sees them. Plus mattel will rerelease the rare guys eventually the way it's been going lately.
I know ur pain with space. That's been my on going issue for a while now.

Don't sell them. Like everyone else said pack them up and keep them for s while then in a few months if you feel like it then sell them. My gf told me I should sell my collection and I was kind of over the basic line and non flashbacks anyway so I did. Sold them one big lot to someone and now it would be worth soooo much more.
My best advice? Have someone kick you right in the nuts and see how it feels. That's what selling off your collection is going to be like. One big swift kick.

What if you split up the day after you sell them all?
