I know a lot of people are upset with the DM line because the take the title of the series literally most of the figures released in it are not of their actual defining moment(s). I used to be under the impression you can only have one defining moment but then I thought about Stone Cold. He has at least a half dozen. Is there anyone out there that could legitimately have more defining moments? - KOTR 96: Birth of Austin 3:16
- Royal Rumble 97: Winning his first Rumble and dominated throughout
- Raw 12/8/97: Throwing the IC belt in the river.
- WM13: Refusing to quit wearing a crimson mask and trapped in a sharpshooter
- Raw 1/19/98: Confronting Mike Tyson
- WM14: First world title win by defeating arguably the greatest champion and WM performer of all time
- Raw 3/22/99: Beer bath
There were other great moments throughout his career but those are what defined his character. I don't think there is anyone else that had more "defining" moments. I'm sure you can list "great" or "memorable" moments of other guys but not more "defining" than Austin. Savage may come close, though.

I'm starting to hate the words "defining moment"

There are definitely some legitimate Defining Moments out there that might be worthy.
- Shawn Michaels as the number one entrant in the 1995 Royal Rumble, and winning.
- Scott Hall's 'You want a war' speech.
- Edge cashing in 2006.
- Daniel Bryan Wrestlemania 30
- Chris Jericho beating Stone Cold and the Rock in the same night.
Those might be some worthy DM figures.

Shockmaster should have been a defining moments figure.

While we're on Shawn Michaels, how can you not make something of the Barbershop?

A recent example could be Seth selling out Roman and Dean in their shield days

Here's an example of what is required to be a Defining Moment. If your event is able to meet or beat, then you're golden.
"In late 1992, Ultimate Warrior teamed up with Randy Savage to form the legendary tag team, The Ultimate Maniacs. While the partnership of these two former rivals was short-lived, they were successful in scoring a huge victory over Money Inc. in September of 1992."
-"Ultimate Maniacs" Ultimate Warrior box
I highlighted the important part.

It'd have been better just to use Elites of Warrior and Savage if you wanted Ultimate Maniacs.
Another truly Defining Moment - Luger slamming Yokozuna. They did make a Luger not too long ago, but that might be something worthy.

While we're on Shawn Michaels, how can you not make something of the Barbershop? Or WM 12 as an elite. I would've rather had the barber shop or wm12 in place of 2006 dx Michaels.

Undertaker - WrestleMania 14
First match ever with his freshly debuted Demon brother Kane. Highly anticipated matchup. The great back story of Kane. Great match. Taker beats Kane. Plus it was at Mania and we still don't have an elite 1998 Undertaker.
And no mattel, he didn't have laces on his boots.

He was already world champ and won a lesser title and needed Jon Stewart to do it. Be like if the Cavs challenged and beat Villanova for the NCAA championship and it took interference from Rachel Maddow to accomplish it while wearing cool uniforms.

CM Punk's pipe bomb would have made a great defining moment figure. I know many people have done a fix-up of this, but I would have loved to have gotten one in the packaging.

Please no more Austin DMs unless it's a "Stunning" Steve Austin with vest and WCW United States Championship. Maybe something like this:

At this point, it's just a name for the line, don't get too hung up on the literal meaning. I'd say Randy Savage's Defining Moment was WrestleMania 4, winning the WWF title for the first time. The figure we got was WrestleMania 7, where he lost a retirement match, still an amazing figure and great moment. The DM line was just a way to get us figures with a bigger budget for deco and accessories(that Ricky Steamboat DM, for example, is definitely not anything close to his Defining Moment). Some of the figures are incredible and absolutely justified their higher price point. Recently however, that has not been the case and I think that is the main gripe with the line.
