Taz sucked. He got better but still sucked in TNA. He was pretty good talking about executing moves and putting over a moves impact or submissions, but that's where it ended.

Mauro Ranallo is the worst commentator of all time. "I'm gonna yell a lot while this match takes place, not really tell the story of the match, just yell out a bunch of moves, and then get the name of the wrestler wrong half way through the match. Then I will yell some more, and not really have any passion while I do it, for I am a poor man's JR." Idk man I'm watching smackdown right now and he seems to be doing a great job telling the story and calling the match (which is a lost art on Raw) |

I don't watch TNA, so I have no idea how hw sounded on commentary when he was there. But when he was on SmackDown!, he was fantastic. He was easily the best color commentator in the company at the time. He knew how to correctly call moves and always broke things down. I really liked Tazz, I'd sure as hell take him over Lawler, Byran Saxton or JBL right now.

Taz is terrible. He's not the worst, but he is awful. Michael Cole is the worst announcer ever. He's followed by that prick who went to TNA after he got fired... Josh Matthews? I think that's his name. Then JBL, then Bryon, then Mike Adamale or whatever God name is, then Taz. |

I just wish he wouldn't do that Sling Blade thing with his voice. |

Taz is not the worst. I don't understand the hate he gets. I thought he was pretty funny.
Mark Madden was really bad. It was painful.
But the worst of all time, for sure, no doubt, is Rob Bartlett, from the earliest RAWs. He sucked so badly. No one can top his terrible "humor" and all together terrible crap.

I loved him and Cole in the early smackdown draft days, as well as Cole and JBL. Him and JBL are equally as terrible now.

Taz and Michael Cole were honestly a great team on commentary. Both used to get so invested in what was going on in the ring and it made it even more fun. They had awesome chemistry.

I'm convinced that anyone who's not a fan of Mauro is simply used to the garbage commentary that Cole, JBL and King have been doing for years.
Mauro and Graves are the BEST commentators they have had in years. If you can't see that, then mute the TV because you will never be happy with it.....
But yeah Taz was terrible even though he and Cole had GREAT chemistry.
