www.google.com/amp/www.mmafighting.com/platform/amp/2016/7/15/12203902/brock-lesnar-flagged-by-usada-for-potential-anti-doping-violation?client=safari#The UFC released a statement Friday evening that Lesnar and the promotion had been notified by USADA of a potential Lesnar anti-doping violation. The potential violation comes from the failure of an out-of-competition drug test June 28, the release said. The UFC said USADA received the testing results July 14 — five days after Lesnar defeated Mark Hunt at UFC 200 in his MMA return. The same was tested at UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory, a WADA-accredited lab. USADA, as is its policy, did not release the name of the substance Lesnar tested positive for. The UFC's anti-doping partner will conduct a full adjudication process before any sanction is levied. The Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) also has jurisdiction, because of the test's proximity to UFC 200 in Las Vegas.

If this is true, it's a PR hit for WWE, surely they have to suspend him or people will question whether or not WWE really tests their athletes.

Is it possible that he failed for something that is in violation of UFC/USADA rules, but not the WWE Wellness Policy?

WWE has to suspend him. There is no two ways about this. Choosing not to suspend him creates a complete s***storm about their policies. And there is already going to be one about "WELL HOW THE DID HE PASS WWE'S!?"

Yes, WWE will have to suspend him for at least 30 days, so they'll probably ignore it on TV and just promote his match w/o him for the next 30 days.

How can you suspend someone 30 days that only shows every 2/3 months?

I understand why we don't want steroids in wrestling or sports, but this is going to be the ESPN topic of the week no matter what WWE does. Some analysts will claim it's not a legitimate sport so why should we hold him to professional sports requirements of no doping, but then we see the effects of roid rage and long term abuse of steroids. It's a fine line. Regardless if it's different from WWE policies, from a social standpoint they have to suspend him. If not the social opinion will be that WWE allows steroids or HGH or whatever it may be, or that Brock runs the WWE and is excluded from punishment. It's going to be interesting. The fact they keep saying "possible" makes me wonder what this is.

If this is true, funny how the people WWE pushes to the moon end up with these violations.
The decision to give Lesnar the streak looks dumber than ever.

This is basically a credibility thing for Lesnar and the WWE. If he indeed used performance enhancers, it ruins WWE's marketing of him being an unnatural freak of nature and makes all of his UFC accomplishments tarnished. WWE can't market him as the conquerer of UFC and WWE, and if indeed he is found to have violated it, I could see this being the end of his WWE career. He already has a high dislike of the road and people, having all of his accomplishments in question from every media outlet for the next coming days or facing a suspension from WWE could send him back home for good.

How can you suspend someone 30 days that only shows every 2/3 months? I don't think any of the part time/occasional performers (Rock, Brock, HHH, Shane, Taker etc) are subject to the testing, possibly because a suspension would be pointless for the reason you mentioned.

This could close the door for future collaborations as well if it comes to light. Vince can't take the PR nightmare as they move forward.

No way WWE can ignore this if true. They have to punish Lesnar in some form as they did reigns. Personally I'd get rid of him but then I'm anti-Lesnar!

So they put Bryan and Punk on the backburner for Reigns and Lesnar.
Now it's coming back to bite them. How many violations did those two former ROH competitors have?

Lesnar needs to be punished but how is it possible? Suspending him is pointless because he sits at home most of the year so what else can they do?
