Yea pretty much. Everyone of those guys that are suing Mattel have had their legends deals terminated or they will be terminated. And the ones who don't have legends deals probably won't get a deal anytime soon.
I wish we could have gotten singles and tag team verions of warlord and barbarian first

I'm Surprised Vito LoGrasso isn't a part of this Lawsuit. I remember reading on here that he sued WWE over a concussion issue.

I noticed that of the guys on the list that Mattel has made a figure of, all of them except for Chavo Guerrero Jr. were released back in 2010 as part of the Legends line. Chavo got an elite but it was also released in 2010. Here are the wrestlers they have made figures of to date:
Paul Orndorff
Chavo Guerrero Jr.
Kamala
King Kong Bundy
Ax and Smash (Demolition)
Marty Jannetty (Rockers)
Akeem
Are you certain that the deals will be terminated?! It appears as though the Kamala figure that was recently announced is still going ahead, it is part of Mattel's display at the Comic Con (according to a pic that was posted in the SDCC thread). If his deal was going to be terminated wouldn't they pull this figure- they pulled Hogan figures that were released or about to be released when the whole fiasco with him broke. If they can do this with Hogan then they can surely do it with Kamala, although the circumstances are totally different here. I hope they go ahead and release it as I missed out on the first figure and was looking to get this one.
Aside from Kamala, the only other guy that we know for sure is under a legends deal is Orndorff as Mattel recently released a basic figure of him a few series back. I hope the parties involved can settle their differences, however I think even if this gets settled bridges have been burned and McMahon might blacklist them

Just like Ravens lawsuit and countless others that got settled out of court. This one will too. Nothing to worry about besides some of these guys burning their bridges with the company.

I'm speculating that every legends deal has that clause. Take it for what it is but I'm sure if they put that in one legends contract that it would go in all of them. As for kamala, he may get pulled or he may make it through but I would expect his legends deal to be terminated. Maybe this doesn't go to court and wwe doesn't have to terminate any contracts, maybe they don't terminate any contracts, maybe they terminate all of them .... I have no idea, I'm just going with what I've learned I hope this case gets dropped so no one gets blacklisted or has their contracts cancelled. |
