Hey, I was sitting around doing a draft the other night and I couldn't help but overhear other people talking about Terrell Owens being either a 'terrible' or a 'great' fantasy pick.
In the first draft, before he had returned to training camp, Owens was selected in the 6th round as the 11th receiver/TE taken in the draft.
In the second draft, he was taken with the 6th pick overall as the first receiver/TE drafted.
It's funny, though, because in each of the drafts that I was in, I feel he was taken out of the spot he should be. I feel he should've been selected higher than he was in the first draft, but I had already taken Randy Moss and Tony Gonzalez and was in need of a RB by the time he fell to me. However, in the second league, I think it's crazy that he was taken above Moss, Harrison, Holt, etc. Not that he didn't put up great numbers this year, but for the simple fact that his off-field bullcrap might turn into him not 'clicking' with McNabb as much on the field.

he'll be going much higher after tonight... 5 catches, 115 yards and a td in a quarter and a half
in the wf draft there, he was taken with the 1st pick in the 3rd round... after randy moss, marvin harrison, andre johnson, chad johnson, torry holt, and javon walker

I ended up picking up Brian Westbrook with that pick, then Marc Bulger with my next pick. At the time of the draft, I wasn't 100% positive that Owens was even going to be on the Eagles this season.

westbrook, if healthy, is good for 2,000 all purpose yards this year... but the fact remains, i hate him as a fantasy back because he'll never get goalline carries. if youre gonna take westbrook, make out an insurance policy and take either ryan moats, or whichever power back the eagles acquire in the next week or two to make up for the lack of rushing tds

I heard a rumor recently that Westbrook may actually be taking a good chunk of goalline carries this season because Moats hasn't impressed the team much.

you got that rumor from a terribly wrong source... moats has gotten all the goalline carries in preseason, and has 3 short yardage td's to show for it... the only way westbrook will be in on goalline packages, is if they have him in the slot

He's not a workhorse back, like you said, but he in' rocks the casbah as an all-purpose back. They should give him the TD's "just because." LoL.
