Anyone else use to have one of these? I think they should bring it back. I just wish they would make it more like the one from the movie...it needs to be a little thinner and the buttons are a tad different, but still...I wish they would rerelease it. Discuss

Man, I wanted this so bad when I was a kid.
Home Alone 1&2 are still two of my favorite movies to this day.

I had one. It would be cool if they brought them back, my 5 year old would enjoy it.

I use to have one. Loved it. I used to use it to record wrestling theme songs to play for my figure entrances lol.

Never had it but wanted it so so bad. Eventually my cousin got just a regular recorder that had the mini cassettes that had to be inserted into a regular sized cassette. Seems prehistoric now.

Thing was awesome. It was a novelty though. I'm positive I only played with it a few times after begging my parents to get me one. Which is life I guess haha. Really cool movie toy though. I was helping my buddy move some stuff from his parents house not that long ago and he pulled his old one out. We had a good laugh over it. If they did rerelease it I'd probably buy one just to have. Seems like something Mattel would do in line with stuff like their Ghostbusters and Back to the Future props.
But yeah, this ruled when we were kids. You don't really see toy companies make movie toys the way that they used to and it's sad imo. This is a shining example of pop culture impact on a childhood.

I did have one, but I was so disappointed that it lacked the features the movie version had. I can see a company like Mattel remaking it more movie authentic some day.

Seriously, the one from the movie was so badass. I wonder if Macaulay Culkin owns the one used in the movie...

I either had one or had a knockoff. Probably the knockoff lol. I do remember it wasn't as cool as the one in the movie though

They could easily make a smaller one with a memory card and ditch the tape deck altogether. I am thinking like NES is to that new mini NES classic thing.

I also had a Home Alone 2 Talkboy and I thought it looked awesome and I would always use my Talkboy to record my parents conversations and then listening to it in private and each time my parents would make a phone call I would turn on the Talkboy and record their phone calls and my parents never knew I were spying on them because I had four blank cassette tapes with their phone calls on then and if Mom put one of my cassette tapes in her cassette player I knew I was in trouble. But then the Talkboy was taken away from me because the spying had gone too far. But it was awesome and so fun to play with and I still have my Talkboy today but it no longer works because it's broken now. Who knew that based on the success of the Home Alone 2 Talkboy Tiger Electronics would inspire and release a whole line of Talkboy products such as the Talkboy Jr. Voice Recorder the Talkboy FX Pen and even a purple and pink version for girls called Talkgirl which worked exactly the same as the Talkboy. I have always liked voice recorders because they are fun to use and spy on your parents or your siblings conversations and I also love video cameras a lot and taking movies with my Mom and Dad doing funny stuff Doctorwhofan
