Exactly. At this point Vader is simply the kings hand to the Emperor. I hope Tarkin is in action for this movie. I read Tarkin, and I would like to see some more interaction between himself and Vader. But just like the book, they have to remember the line Tarkin dropped on Vader in ANH. Shooting down the force as an old religion. The Battle in Genosis and the genocide of Jedi at this point is well-known or was it strictly known only to those involved? That hasn't been mentioned in canon yet. I see Jen deflecting and being the reason The Rebels are caught. Aiding Tarkin into his Grand Moff rank for her freedom of war and safe passage home. Hmmm food for thought there. I think its pretty well known that the Jedi were wiped out for being "traitors" trying to usurp that lovable old chap Palpatine BUT how well that lie has stuck is another thing. Rebels doesn't really give any indication either....... To add to that, after ROTJ the fact that Vader and the Emperor being killed was a rumor that floated theough the galaxy. The Empire's fleet is spread theough out the galaxy and took time to deminish. I think enev in the current story line the Empire exists in small numbers and the Forst Order rose from the Empires vanishment in some sectors. |

I hope Vader kills all of them.  your happy endings, I hope the main chick gets her head cut off and that is the end of the movie. Me too! I hope it's a red lightsaber party with Vader taking out the entire crew. Droids? Dead. Blind guy? Dead. Main girl? Dead. F' it, kill the camera man too. Slaughter them all!!! |

I can't ing wait for this movie. I was skeptical about Disney but that ALL went away when I saw TFA. Much like Marvel, I will go out of my way to see EVERYTHING Star Wars they give us. Filling gaps in the timeline like this is a BRILLIANT idea. Can't wait to see how they pull it off. |

Any way to merge these two threads? I will try tonight. My phone is not the best moderator. Keep in mind I am on west coast time so the changes I make might not happen until tomorrow for you fellas. I don't want to ruin the convos especially for this material. I just didn't see the other thread on the first page and assumed the other ran its course. Now with the release of the latest trailer for Rogue One, I figured I could make this one a fresh start. Let me see what I can do to accommodate. |

The word is that Darth Vader is going to have a real prominent scene that shows off how terrifying he truly was.. So I'm beyond stoked to watch Darth Vader wreck sh*t at full Force. Did anyone hear the newest fan theory making the rounds? Normally I don't pay much attention to random guesses, but this one actually is intriguing. I'll try my best to describe it and I'll put it in spoiler tag so people don't have to read it if they don't wanna... In this pic we see the main protagonist dressed as a tie fighter pilot...  Some are speculating she could be this tie fighter next to Vader. Han takes out the one, and then the other just veers into Vader for no reason... ... As if they were sacrificing themselves to take out Vader & the help Luke. Now I'm not saying it's true. Especially cause you hear a guys voice saying "look out" before hitting Vader. But I still think that would be a cool way to tie the two films together. And a cool way for Jyn to go out a hero. |

I remember reading like a year ago that Rogue One will end right where A New Hope begins, though. Like, I think Rogue One will be ending when Leia is hiding the Death Star plans.. But who knows man, I know that they went in and did a TON of re shoots a few months back.. Anything is possible right now.. I'm really excited for it. I feel like I'm one of the few that really liked Gareth Edwards take on Godzilla back in 2014.. That dude has some AMAZING visuals and I can't wait to see what he does with a Star Wars story. |
