I use Wd40 frequently on figures. And it has left spots on mat. Can I throw it in the wash. And let it air dry

Maybe try putting it in a garnmet bag and putting it on hand wash. You could always try filling the sink and hand washing it and maybe using an old toothbrush to try and scrub the marks out

Why do you WD40 your figures? For tight joints. Elbows and knees and crotch. Heat up area spray and start moving.

WD40 on plastic sounds damaging. Its a degreaser. Plastic has grease. Paint does too. You coukd practically strip the figures with that.

I've found that heating up doesn't always loosen it up. Especially the crotch. I guess it's more of a "don't knock it till you try it" kinda thing.

I would wash the old Jakks RSR canvases but did not put in the dryer. So i would imagine the same thing here.
Also, Some hot water or a blow dryer can do the fix. A little skeptical with WD40 but hey, if it works for ya, right on!

I'm shocked that I've gotten so much "backlash" about using wd40. It's like "Armageddon" or "taboo" Tuesday. Ive used it for years with all types of action figures. But all kidding aside thanks all for the support and concern for my figures.

I don't have any ring skirts, but with any fabric, maybe hit it with some baby powder first and leave that on for a day or so before you wash. We do that with oil stains on our clothes and it works well.

It's probably man made materials, I wouldn't expect is to be Italian calves leather, or Egyptian cotton.

If I'm honest I wouldn't risk washing it but then again a hand wash should be fine.
