Super impressed with McGregor as I was one of those not expecting him to land a clean punch all night.
Mayweather's slow start may can be attributed to trying to figure Connor out and a 2yr layoff, but Connor held his own early.
Mayweather had him figured out by about Rd 6 and McGregor was starting to get gassed. I thought fatigue would be a big issue when the fight was first made, but I then backed off. I thought Connor would be okay to an extent, but he was done by Rd 8 basically.
Not a fan of either, but glad it wasn't a complete embarrassment considering it was all a complete money grab to begin with.

Well, Conor certainly did much better than I thought he would. Should be interesting to see what's next for him...

Can't ever negate Conor's ambition or drive - he looked great for most of the fight.

I think McGregor should take on St. Pierre next. But I agree with most, he did a lot better than I expected tonight and I also agree with Conor saying the ref shouldn't have stopped it. McGregor is an MMA fighter and can take punches, if he goes down then he goes down. If you're gassed but can still move your legs you can still keep going. But man if McGregor had more time to train and prepare himself, I'm sure he could of had a better chance.

I'm shocked Mayweather was able to finish Conor McGreggor but he was dead tired and was about to go down after a few more punches. It was a good fight and Conor didn't embarrass himself. You couldn't ask for anything more. I know the Casinos are happy Mayweather won because if Conor won they would have lost a lot of money.

"The WBC has created the "Money Belt". This belt has 3360 diamonds, 600 saphires, 300 emeralds, 1.5kg of solid 24k gold and allogator leather that comes from Italy." Jeez. They call that the 'Money Belt'?

The hype is real!! I think I want Mayweather to win. No, let me rephrase that... I think I want McGregor to lose more than Mayweather.

I loved the jabs ESPN took at Mayweather. Once saying his value was inflated (by himself) and then another time saying "great payday for Mayweather, now he can pay his taxes"
I have no doubt Floyd has more money then Ill ever see but I wont be a bit surprised in 10 years if his ass is whining about being broke and filing bankruptcy

I saw it at the local and the support for Conor was overwhelming. He has nothing to be disappointed in, I thought he did really well, but as others said the conditioning just wasn't there towards the end and Mayweather figured him out. I'm glad that Conor will come back to MMA down the track. Not sure who he'll face though, though I know Nate Diaz wants him again.

^ yeah - I hope he goes back/sticks to MMA now... a fight with either Khabib or the Ferguson/Lee winner probably makes the most sense. I bet any top fighter within 30 pounds will be calling him out though(!).

Conor puts asses in seats, including mine. His trash talking is hilarious and he can back it up. He gets my buy EVERYTIME he fights.

How did Jones pass a drug test then at UFC 214? I'm reading something and it says he passed.
