...4th time lucky! Really hope this fight comes off this time. I'm in two minds about whether to strip Conor and make Khabib/Ferguson for the full title... if Conor/the UFC aren't sure he'll ever fight again, then taking the the title off him is the right move. If he's definitely coming back though and just needs more time, then you may as well keep the belt on him... Conor Vs Khabib/Ferguson would be the next title fight anyway. I have an idea I wish I could have implemented in that you have up to 1 calendar year to defend the title. Right now Conor is at 430+ days since he won from Alvarez without a defense and it looks like he won't be fighting in the next few months, so he'll easily be over 500 days without a defense. It's just too much. And I get too that he did fight Mayweather last year, but to me, late 2016 and all of 2017 has really changed Conor and I was a huge fan of his and now I'm really over his personality, love to still see him fight though, just without all the ego stuff. Yeah im over Conor. Its ridiculous how long Dana allowed him to stay champion without defending for so long. I hope Dana does strip Conor, but i still have my doubts

I hadn't paid attention to UFC since maybe the first 5 or 6 when i was the lawless wild west and I saw all of those on PPV, but once I started hearing about Conor and then saw him knock out Aldo in 13 seconds I tuned in, then CM Punk came around and I watched it with him, then Brock came around and then I got hooked, now I try and take as much as I can and just really love it and its all thanks to Conor kickstarting it, but god damn I came to see people fight not just trash talk and cherry pick fights.

Who do you guys have, Stipe or Ngannou? I have Stipe.

I'm leaning towards Stipe too... Ngannou hits very hard - but Stipe hits pretty hard himself and is more technical. And Stipe has come through trouble and won... we don't really know how Ngannou will react if/when he's hurt. Still, if they trade bombs early, anything could happen(!).

Really fun card overall, lots of good action. History's been made with Stipe being the first man to defend the Heavyweight title 3 times in a row.

Did anybody watch the Bellator card tonight?
Sonnen beat Rampage in one of the most boring fights ever. It was everything Rampage feared in his pre-match comments when he said something to the effect that he didn't want to hug his opponent all night. I want to like Sonnen, I really do, because he is a very entertaining talker but his style has never moved beyond being a wrestler and his matches are snooze fests.
MacDonald beat Lima for the belt in a pretty good fight. I'm surprised MacDonald made it through all five rounds. After taking a kick to the shin from Lima, MacDonald's leg looked like one of those sci fi movie special effects where a giant parasite was growing under his skin. He couldn't even stand on his own after the fight. Lima looked a little flat through most of the fight but he had two rounds to keep working on the leg and never got it done.

Sonnen was only going to win that fight one way and he did it that one way. He wasnt going to KO or submit Rampage.

Stipe vs Cormier at UFC 226?!?!?? Whatttt?!?!? Holy moly - this is awesome. Two of the nicest guys in the sport too... not sure who I want to win(!?). There's been talks about making this a "Champion Vs Champion" show - with Mighty Mouse Vs Dillashaw and Cyborg Vs Nunes also on the card... wow.

Jacare Souza gets a headkick win over Derrick Brunson tonight. Andre Fili also beat Dennis Bermudez by UD.
REALLY underpromoted fight card tonight. Not a ton of big names I know, but I was lucky to learn about the fights at the very last minute.

Man!
Rockhold go KTFO'd BAD!
Yoel caught him with an overhand left and followed with basically a left uppercut while Rockhold was knocked on his butt.
MEAN power displayed by Romero. Great fight

^ yeah - Romero's a dangerous guy... he can suddenly just explode with something and the fight's over (kind of like his fight against Weidman too). Makes Whittaker's win over him seem even more impressive (...especially as he was virtually fighting on one leg!).

And luke wants to move up? Sit down and shut up.
I love seeing this guy sleep. And his last 2 losses have been real KOs.
