I haven't watched UFC other than a Brock fight in maybe 5-6 years. Decided to tag along to a friends house to watch tonight. JESUS CHRIST was I entertained! From Lewis' all or nothing knock out, to Fergusons and Pettis slugfest, to Khabib completely losing it and jumping the fence. Just wild. I loved it.

I think Khabib might not have any say in the matter... remember when Paul Daley got a (UFC) lifetime ban for sucker-punching Koscheck after the fight? Well this was 10 times worse than that... Very true. I'm a casual MMA fan. I found out about Paul Daley from Bellator and I had no idea about his lifetime ban from UFC.

3 of Khabibs teammates were arrested I don't know why khabib wasn't also Very true, cause Khabib could have also hurt a fan during that brawl outside the octagon. Who knows if a fan did get hurt, and it hasn't been reported yet.

I saw a video last week of a smaller promotion stripping their champion on the spot by dq for landing 1 extra strike after the ref stepped in.
Attacking an onlooker, having fake tough guy goons blindside your opponent and nearly starting a riot has to be worse no?
My gut says the only reason khabib won't get stripped is because people will cry favoritism towards conor.

Update from Khabibs team members getting arrested, Conor refused to press charges so they were released by police. I'm guessing Conor refused to press charges because of what he did in April and not wanting to come off as a hypocrite

Just throwing this tidbit out there. I'm seeing alot of Conor fans losing their crapover Khabib's teammate jumping the fence and attacking Conor. While I agree that should never happen. But find it funny that Conor fans are conveniently forgetting about Conor jumping the cage at Bellator 187 and attacking a referee. At the time Conor fans thought that was great stuff and Conor being Conor. But when it's flipped, it's a disgusting act.

Are you actually equating a light push to the shoulder and some mean words to 3 professionally trained mixed martial artists ambushing a guy with fully cocked blows to the back of the head seconds after he went nearly 20 mins with the #1 ranked lightweight in the world in a grueling fight while their teammate (aka the #1 raked lightweight in the world) was in the audience attacking a spectator? Yeah. Nah. The Bellator thing was at best a fine and a ban on Conor ever cornering any of his teammates ever again. The only real equivalent here that can be drawn is the bus incident which the UFC severely mishandled by making it part of the promo videos and gimmicking up the entire thing. Conor should have been suspended for bare minimum 1 year by the UFC (Dana personally should have held the press conference and announced this) along with all the legal and monetary repercussions thst came with Conor’s actions. Instead all the bull was normalized and used in promo packages like the WWE and it set a terrible precedent that we’ve just seen the fallout from a few hours ago. The UFC and MMA collectively is losing credibility rapidly. It’s either Bellator running back fights from 15-20 years ago between guys who can barely walk to the cage anymore or it’s the UFC with their poster boys throwing dolleys at loaded busses or attacking event attendees in the crowd on live TV. Only way to get things straight is a hard reset. It’s good to hear all of Khabib’s teammates who were active roster members have been terminated. Hopefully Dana sticks to his word on this. I also hope the NSAC hands Khabib a minimum of 1 year suspension and the UFC strips him of the belt. Plus all criminal charges and civil liabilities he’ll face (hopefully it costs him well into the millions) Conor should NOT get an immediate shot at the vacant belt either. He should be made to work his way back up with another fight or two. The sport of MMA needs to be treated like a sport again, not a carney act. Clean up the UFC, clean up the sport.

If you push me and yell at me, and then I get 3 goons to jump you from behind are we really talking equal things?

Besides the madness of the main event 229 was a great show, the Tony Ferguson/Anthony Pettis fight was f$%#ing awesome, it's such a shame Pettis broke his hand. Derrick Lewis got an epic KO which he needed badly.

No, I wasn't necessarily equating the incidences. I don't condone what anyone did in either incident. And I certainly wasn't directing my previous comment at anyone here. It was more of a generalization of fans that always defend Conor's actions as "Conor being Conor". And then attacking fighters that do something similar. We'll see what happens with Khabib. His teammates though, should never be allowed back in a UFC event ever.

I saw another angle of inside the cage. Conor did punch Khabibs brother first. Conor jumped on the cage I guess to see what was happening between Khabib and Dillion, and Conor saw Khabibs brother, who was in the cage and jumped on top of the cage, and Conor punched him. Which caused the other two to jump in the cage and sucker punch Conor. I still maintain that at that moment, Conor acted in defense at that moment, cause i also saw that after Conor threw that punch, he jumped down in the cage, and he looked as if he just realized what he did and looked like he didn't mean to do it with malice. Im not trying to come off as a Conor defender, i was one of the first ones to s*** on Conor after the bus incident. Im calling it like i see it
