I gag a little every time someone in the UFC payroll calls Max the best 145er ot all time. Conor dragged him. Dustin dragged him. Sure that was at 155, but both guys were once at 145 together and max is a big featherweight. I know they have a fight to sell, but damn. Yeah, it seems to be the current thing with the UFC these days... every card features "the greatest *something* of all-time", lol. I wouldn't put Max as the best 145er ever though - his best wins are over a weight-drained Anthony Pettis and then a past-his-best Jose Aldo twice. There's still a bit of a way to go yet. And I actually think Edgar is a very live dog in this fight tonight...

I'm a big fan of Max Holloway, BUT I can't disagree with this. I'm not liking the build up of "greatest blah blah blah of all time". Max Holloway IMO is a great fighter, not there yet among the best.

The man is elite no doubt. But when you put his career in perspective, he is 3rd best at 145 I'd say. Conor came in like a bull and tore it up, and Jose dominated forever. Beating Frankie tonight, maybe Volkanovski next...that could make it a tougher debate.

Pretty boring main card. The UFC needs to do less fight night, especially now that they arent free, and save better fights for $70 shows. Particularly the 1st and 2nd fights which felt like prelims.

Am I the only one who thinks Saturday 's PPV was a worst show of the year candidate? That was a card that should've been on cable not $59.99

The names were a little lackluster, which happens when you have events all the time so I get it. But the match making wasnt very great and the action was almost non existent for stretches. Max vs frankie had to happen because frankie deserved it,but 2 cardio warriors like that probably would have been better served as the co main. Cyborg showed out but Spencer did little more than prove to be a durable punching bag. Price vs Neal was good all around. They hit that one perfect. Nothing else felt like even a fight night main card fight. Hurts more coming off of a couple straight good cards.

Dana white says ufc is "out of the cyborg business".
Another baffling choice. Ufc is a serious competitor from being wcw. This is the same man that bend over for Lousy Rousey forever.

Great fight! Stipe really made awesome adjustments in that 4th round. Dc was probably up 30-26. Gut tells me DC retires.
Pettis is done done. He has the heart and will to fight no matter what, but his body doesnt hold up. Weight cut problems vs max, torso injury vs poirier, hand injury vs Ferguson, ankle injury tonight. Time to hang em up man.

Yeah, pretty impressive the way Stipe turned things around... he's one tough SOB. Those body shots in the 4th were nasty.
DC said he didn't want to go out (retire) on his back - so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a rubber match. Especially after the success he was having - it might be tough to just walk away...

Man i celebrated big when Stipe won the title. Those body shots helped Stipe get that victory, cause DC was gonna cover his head more. I would want to see a rubber match. Stipes next fight is either vs DC, or Ngannou.
Also, id love to see Diaz vs Masvidal

After the huge success DC had in the first round with his wrestling, I'm amazed he didn't attempt to take Stipe down again (at all) in rounds 2-4... Stipe has great cardio (and boxing), so he was always going to be dangerous while they're on their feet.
