Apparently Diaz hasn't been suspended though - and the fight hasn't been officially pulled either, so maybe it can be saved? It'll be interesting to see what DW has to say about it all...

Jake Hager's fight ended in a No Contest when he gave his opponent a good old fashioned pro wrestling knee to the groin That was so awkward. Was really cool to see Sammy/LAX there, and Hager's crew all wearing inner circle shirts (though the 'we the people' intro was weird given two weeks ago). Little underwhelming when the fight was a bust though. He had the first half groin shot that the ref said play on to, then 2 more brutal ones. His legs are too damn long. |

Ben Askren is THE single most overhyped non ufc "star" EVER.
His ufc run has really shown the difference between #1 and the rest.
He could easily he 0-3 now and has my even fought a single well fighter yet.

Nate fanboys crying "he was gonna turn it on"
He was down 3-0, probably 30-26, to a guy that has literally never been finished. Sound strategy.

It sucks they stopped it... obviously we're not doctors - but the cut(s) didn't seem any worse than they were after the first round(?). And for the record, Jorge pieced that boy up. No doubt Jorge won all 3 rounds... he has been finished 3 times though (just never in the UFC). I don't know... I'm no Diaz fanboy - but Jorge did seem to be fading in the third and there was a possibility of a 4th or 5th round Diaz comeback/submission. Hopefully they'll run it back soon. |

I think people overestimate Nate. When you do a search for how many 5 rounds decisions hes ever won, or how many fights he has finished in the 4th ot 5th round, you'd likely be a little surprised. I honestly have been waiting for this since he blew up after beating a gassed featherweight. |
