Also didn’t have the off-season to train with the team and work on his conditioning. He was rushed back too fast and it’s pretty obvious. Tbh I would have rather just kept Foles in as starter for a few more games and slowly integrate Wentz back into the system on limited snaps. Even though he’s missed a lot of throws his stats are still very good. 21 TDs to 7 picks with a 102.2 rating and a 70% completion rate. It’s impressive what he’s been able to do this year considering the circumstances. Next year when he has a full offseason and is actually healthy it’ll be scary what he’ll be able to do. I always thought with his age and the future of the team seemingly resting on him, he should have sat a minimum half the year. What's alarming to me is that he plays well for long stretches, but then he looks scared for stretches after that. Reminds me so much of how Goff plays. I think he still has a mental block slowing him down. He gets past that and he'll be fine. Same here. I don’t think we won any games with Wentz at QB that we wouldn’t have with Foles. I would have definitely had him sit out until the bye week, maybe would have had him play a few snaps against Jacksonville or Carolina but that’s it, nothing high pressure where he would have to make a big play with the game on the line. He’s supposed to be the franchise QB for the next 10-15 years, so I’d rather have him not be the next RG3.

There was alot of questionable offensive playcalling from the Vikings. They left a lot of points off the board.

Kirk Cousins just isn’t a winner. He’ll give you solid stats every year but he can’t make big plays or win big games. This year has exposed that more than ever. No excuse for his play with the weapons he has on that offense.

Cousins is a solid QB if you want be a middle of the pack team but he's not going to take you deep in the playoffs.

Wagner should have been flagged on that block.

Watching the Vikings some this year I will say Defilipo and the Oline have to shoulder some of the blame for the offensive struggles but...
Cousins is still a huge ? to me. The guy spent the majority of his career with K. Shanahan or S. McVay as his offensive coordinator. If you take him away from them, what do you have?
There is a reason Washington wouldn't commit to him long term, and maybe he had longer deals but the Vikes only gave him 3 but for a lot of $$.

He's exactly what he's always been; a mid-tier QB that can get you to the playoffs, but won't get you much further unless he's surrounded by elite weapons, who got tremendously overpaid for lack of better options.

Ha, oh well. Yeah, I agree with others, Cousins is a middle of the road guy who is overpaid. But... Then again he was middle of the road with McVay and Shanahan, is what we are seeing now who he is without the 2 best offensive minds in the game?
I think he is decent, as good/better than Keenum. The Vikings have weapons, a good defense just need average QB play.

A middle of the road qb won a super bowl and got a huge payday in baltimore not long ago.
This ones on the defense.
